This is great! I bought the hull with this fit and started to try it out a couple of days ago. Compressed ore only take up a hundreth of m3, so the fleet hangar alone can fit the equivalent of 500000 m3 (5000 m3 of compressed). The ore hold holds 50000 m3 (unbonused) meaning the equivalent of 5 million m3 when compressed. It's insanenely good. I can only play sporadically because of IRL stuff right now, so this AFK way of mining with minimum amount of micro management is perfect for me. Thanks for the vid!

one small thing: replace that T1 Drone Mining rig with a T2 Drone Speed rig. You won't run into the third module stacking penalty and the extra speed more than makes up for it. Your mining Drones will be doing 870m/s, so less travel time = higher yield. The Hornets will blaze along at 5.4km/s, which will blap any rats that show up a little faster.

A Porpoise with a Procurer are prob really effective in Low Sec for Mining Belts there. Only caveat would be the cycle timer on Indy Core. That I see is the one of the big downsides since prior as long as Porp was in belt you had boosts. However, still would be interesting in a low pop low sec system to see how it fairs with roamers here and there. Long as you build for tank. Loving these videos for mining, gives me the itch to want to join every time i watch.

I definitely want to try this. I've been high-sec "vacuum mining" I call it, with 2 covetors with modified strip II's and tech II B-crystals. I almost hit 2k m3 per cycle on EACH laser lmao. its NUTS. (This is with a porp on grid boosting and porp pilot has that mindlink that increases mining command bursts effectiveness, etc)

I use mine a lot in HS and i have one in Low that pass 100k ehp, so squishy is relative :)

i'm using cap stable with -abyssal- large shield booster II

what is the total m3/s?

The 2 most important questions were unanswered: how much per hour does it make and how much Ehp does it have?

It’s around 15m an hour with veld and I think for me around 68ehp, the latest live stream on twitch shows hour and 1/2 of it mining

Would this fit work if I have 1 alt miner in an exhumer? If it is beneficial to change something, what could I change for that scenario? I'm trying to get 1 in a Industrial Command Ship and have the alt in like a Hulk (Unless one of the others would be better) doing mostly High Sec mining.

No, you’d want a fit that has mining command bursts on it. This fit is for drone mining.

This is mining in HS and yes this is the low tier, next is Orca then Rorqual.

@@nortonis3565 way slower than barges, even on a orca I have to siege and use harvester drones to get about 28m3/s while my mackinaw is like 38m3/s for 1 miner. Deone mining is now equivalent to being an industrial with a mining laser.

been looking into solo command ship mining, hows this porpoise stack up against something like a barge?

@@comradezy i got the orca fairly recently and i can say that the yield isnt bad, a bit better than a venture without the core enabled, and about on par with a t1 retriever with the core enabled.

I find that I run out of CPU on a lot of fits I find, this one included, what am I doing wrong with my character? I'm short 30.3 CPU

You won't be able to use all of them. You can only use 5 drones on one type at once. Ex: you can have 5 mining in space at a time. If you want to use attack drones to take out rats you need to first recall the mining drones into your mining bay and then launch 5 attack drones.

I don't understand the heavy water in the hull, what is it for?

Bad that an alpha can`t use a large mining ship or mining drones. Only the smal venture which make between 400.000 and 500.000 per 15 minutes in highsec.

you're probably mining only 160 M3 a drone which is super crappy if you had access to a mining barge you would be pulling around 4000 every 120 seconds my Orca with a Hulk is pulling 5000 every minute if I was using a porpoise I would probably be getting 5,000 every 80 Seconds with the Hulk also you have a 32% waste cuz you're using Tech 2 drones extract that from your total you're getting 32% less

250m3 per. This is a video about solo porpoise mining so obviously if you add hulks/Orca it’s more yield.

What's all this Veldspar talk? Compressed rich plagioclase sells for 38.18 Compressed viscous Pyroxes sells for 30.01. Compressed massive scordite sells for 14.92. Compressed dense Veldspar sells for 10.88. Go for plagio and pyrox.. Or just pop the whole belt down and say screw it lol... I'm going to try to only mine the plagio and pyrox and warp to next belt and repeat.. higher income for time. Set your overview to only show Plagio and Pyrox and it should be easy to move through the belt and then move on.. I don't use survey scanners.. waste of a good slot.. Overview has all my roids there.

Volume, look at the isk/m3 that's the key (evepraisal.com/a/15oauy) Veld has the highest Isk/m3 so you can fit more value in the ship overall.

Drone Mining sucks since thy nerfed the drones 40% loss CCP is anti miner in the larger picture.

Not true, when you can't get veldspar in low sec it is actually not bad. Time is a factor but I have made over 2 billion isk with no real threat in the last 3 weeks just off of high sec ore

@@CharlieBravo157 mining is amazing in HS, are you kidding? it's not for solo players for sure. Mining is not a solo activity for profit regardless of your system being NS WH LS or HS. Grab 2-3 Hulks with an Orca and swip all the belts. Moon mining is ofc better than ore mining. More rocks + more afk and more money.
