If you compress the ore the value goes up especially for Zeolites(which are always the best ones to mine whether simple or Brimful), also sometimes there will be Glistening version of all these moon ores which are like double the value if not more(Zeolites also the best ones here). Could be a lot more money than that if the Orca's skills were actually maxed and you reprocessed the rocks at a T2 rigged Tatara. Orca boosts go up to 46.5% cycle time reduction, and a Tatara can reprocess at 90.6% efficiency.

disclaimer, Tatara with t2 rig and in null sec if you have perfect skills and 4% implant can reach 90%. In high sec it stops about 80%. Tatara get bonus in null and low sec.

It's poor etiquette to mine the asteroids next to the orca as they can't move around as easily as the barges.

It's 2023 and people don't know what trigger means. This is valid feedback, it is poor etiquette. It's also information that you don't know until you know it. Orca is not a ship everybody is going to fly so the venture pilot has no idea what restrictions the orca has so its informational.

Orcas are great! (I have one for sale in Solitude cheap if you want as I moved to null), but the Rorqual is a much better option if you can. Its a total SP sink but once you get decent boosts / compression skills *plus bonus of 6m invulnerability core* and excavator drones its actually really decent [Not as good as it was before being nerfed by CCP years ago😂]. Run it with a couple other accounts in hulks with ore strip miners and you can bank decent amounts on moons and ice belts. PSA: Do not forget a cyno alt on-grid if you do the above folks - o7 😁

You can compress the ore, if the orca has the modal on and your in there fleet then you can stay for a lot longer in the belt :)

Lawd I remember mining out in Org controled Null sec space. had quite a few scares out there, and have unfortunately got caught once.

I dont Like the Fitting, its kinda Squishy :D 51,5k EHP I use a Fitting with 2 Mining Upgrades, but 85k EHP Maybe Check it out. It Needs an 2% CPU Implant But hey thats one is cheap. 20K HP on Shield with Nirvana set?

If you get your ore reprocessed you get way more isk out of it, there are services that brave provides to get your ore reprocessed

Right now I am trying to see if high sec mining is ok. I am mining common ore with 4 acc one being Orca with max yield boost. With 3 alts in hulks you can get maximum 27mil/h. Tad bit more with implants on every hulk pilot. Idk, I have to find a way to get out more out of those alts cause that's not such a good income, unless you can do it for 3 hours every day for a full month. Or just keep the ISk and sub the accounts so that CCP can have some funds for development.

You are not getting boosted if you are not in their fleet...

Rules still apply. Set up a jump point, align to, mash that D-Scan. If you see a gang of cats in D-Scan, get ready to leave. Best you can do. Even in Hi Sec. Don't fly anything you can't afford to lose.

When you are compressing and reprocessing it is more. Then you can do some reactions with it and it increase aggain. And the best part is that you can do it semi afk. I have my mack online while working. Only thing I need to do is to check every 15 minutes and compress. Thats it. And bilions are rolling. Its the best "passive" income in game for me.

Either you or that Orca have terrible skills, my Mack does 20.9 m3 by itself, I haven't tested with the Orcas I mine with yet as I use a Hulk when fleet mining. The Hulk does 54 or 55 m3 with max Orca buffs.

Why not mine in null though

Meh, pure isk/hr is not the end all be all. I work from home and field an orca and 3 retrievers to slowly mine away while I work my day job. Oh, it's not T6 abyss for sure but hour after hour, day and months...it snowballs into a frigging pile of ore. I do more active stuff when I play in the evenings.

Join brave empire if you want to be able to travel in highsec, join brave newbies if you are planing on staying in null and not go to highsec at all

ATM I think either for newer players either Brave/GSF are your best choices. With Brave being the front guy vs phfam their space is more chaotic.

Ore strip miners simply reduce the residue to zero. They don’t actually outmine a regular tech ii strip miner..

ORE's simply give the ability to mine ANY ore/moon goo, without needing the skills for it. While you have around 10 (?) different skills to learn, to mine all possible ore types with T2 crystals, the ORE give you instantly the option to mine ANYTHING. Price is high and therefore a good target for gankers - i agree. But if you can mine something that is actually giving you a good income, i'd buy them anytime. For Bitumens and the other R4 moon materials ... 11-12 hours of mining needed per ORE module. Thats 22-24 hours until you got your investement back (20mil/h).
