No doubt they just assume you know how to do all the stuff. I love the game but damn the explanation quest need to actually explain how to do stuff.

Man, someone should give eve a trophy for worst tutorial concievable. They don't explain anything and just expect you to figure this out? Wtf. Thanks for the video. Was curious about exploring and the game does a fantastically awful job at teaching any of this at all.

So glad you are posting these. Especially your videos in this series (Exploration) have helped me a lot and I like how you explain how to do more than just the quest: i.e. the scanner and how it works, different ship fitting pieces that the quest gives us, how to manipulate the UI. Thanks so much!

GO SCAN A THING! >Doesn't say what thing or even mention a FUCKING scanning tab right in the center of the screen. Not only that but it also didn't quite mention the map overlay or scanning techniques. Like srs? Add five more missions if you have to just like... this was the first mission I actually looked up help on and it was before my bonus expired because I KNEW this mission was vague. Anyways thanks dude, had to pause and go back a couple of times because your mouse clicks were quick and precise but no harm I got my bonus, dude.

It's so frustrating when the game doesn't help you.

Sorry forgot to say your very good and easy to understand as so many peeps are not good at scanning. also i found that data (not sleeper catchs) and relic and combat sites are usualy within 10au of a planet so if you have a massive area to scan and a planet is in the red bubble area scan the planet first at 4au that is in the red bubble instead of starting at at the the size of the bubble as bubbles can be massive as in 16au, seems to always work

@@VinsisGaming I've been playing Conan Exiles with my husband a lot. Was playing Black Desert for a bit recently, but I seem to get bored with that game fairly quickly and always end up leaving after about 1 - 2 months for awhile. Checking out Eve in my spare time (which isn't a lot with the kids out of school for the summer right now) and having fun with this. Never played Eve previously so everything is brand new and a little confusing... lol Are you on Twitch or just here on KZread?

@@pearlrose20 I'm mostly on here, although I'm trying to get to where I can Twitch stream effectively (Upload speed issues). Fell off the video creation wagon for a while, trying to figure out how best to get back into it these days. I wish I could get my wife to play most of these games with me. I feel similarly about Black Desert, only I don't last 1-2 months. I usually only last a week before I go do something else. I've actually been playing Baldur's Gate and Elite Dangerous lately (on top of some co-op games like Anthem and Shadow Warrior 2). Can't seem to focus.

No wonder I couldn't figure it out! Thanks man, really helped.

Thanks for your explanations. Just one more thing : you need to quick open data site bay to take proof certificate ... cause if you wait too long, cargo bay wont open. I was stuck on this for hours !

Glad to help. The Exploration missions are unfortunately the least helpful/obvious out of the bunch I think, so you're definitely not alone.

I can't seem to select all of the cosmic signatures that the scanners found how do I do that?

That's a new one! I've not had that issue before, but I would probably pull my probes back in then re-launch them and see if that fixed things. If that didn't work I'd be left to buy new ones I guess. The regular core scanner probes are pretty cheap ... but they also don't have limited charges far as I'm aware. What is the exact name of your probes?

Vinsis Gaming haha it was a very silly mistake - i forgot to put the probes from my item hanger to my cargo hanger and reload them with the probe. Whuups xD

Hey again, so i just scanned a random random spot, and found the container and used the civilian relic analyzer on it got in a took the "proof".. i did this 3 times now but it keeps saying it's the wrong "proof" -.-' im 3 seconds away from raging so hard. what to do ?

If you're on the 3/5 Data Scanning mission you might be scanning down a Relic site instead, or if you're on the Relic mission (4/5 I think it is) you might be scanning down a Data site instead. Look carefully when you've scanned something down and make sure it's the type you're looking for.

You can buy probes on the market, you can make them I would imagine if you find and buy the blueprint for them, and you can get them sometimes as mission rewards from very specific missions. That said, you shouldn't need to buy too many. Once you finish scanning just hit the button/arrow in the upper left corner and recall them back to your ship. They may recall on their own as well.

If that's the case ... either you've not hit the right button and nothing will happen, or nothing will happen because something's not working and you might want to try restarting. It should never take more than 10-20 seconds to finish a scan.

If you don't get a full 100% when scanning you can't warp to the location.

Just started, and wow... They really need someone to write the tutorials. I mean, go to site is great, but umm... how? Where? Why do I need to get out of the game to watch tutorials to even understand what I am suppose to do? Tutorial is for teaching how to play, not to get you desperate to not wanting to play your game because no one understands it. Open your scanner! How? Go to data location! Ummm... what data location? Cmon!? Good job on the tutorials though, you probably helped many newbies. Thank you.

I think the hotkey is Alt + P ... but if you look at the little display with your shields, armor, and hull ... the button on the left that looks like radar pulls up the probe scanner window. The one above the Autopilot A button.

The ship? It doesn't make sense to give new players a ship that provides bonuses to remote repairing when none of the tutorial missions they'll be facing require that, or teach how to use it. The missions we're on (and this one in particular) involves scanning, and there are frigates with scanning bonuses which would have made far more sense.

There should be a Recall Probes button in the scanning interface. I believe it's the same one that sends them out, I also recall there being a hotkey for summoning them back. I want to say it was F in my keybinding, but it's been years since I've played so my recollection is hazy. I apologize.

Thank you for the tutorial, which is still difficult to follow. How EO could market their game with a tutorial that teaches absolutely NOTHING, blows my mind. Oh, but you've got six hours to figure it out before we take half the reward! Two days later they send a note because they notice you aren't playing their game....wonder why?
