This particular setup may cut into player profits, and wastes PG, CPU, time and isk... all on the assumption that one will either encounter a planet without a Customs Office, or be unable to access same. Inviting the public onto a planet means it could be quickly stripped by the locusts, and the Customs Office owner may make a pile of isk in taxes on any given day they choose to alter taxation based on standings. No intent is implied, it is just a fact and something anyone should be aware of. Single planet P2 POS fuel component production is dirt simple with guaranteed low-tax access to Customs Office.. 1 Launchpad - Centered between two largest chosen P0/Materiel sites. 4 Basic Industry - Tight circle around Launch in addition to.... 2 Advanced Industry - Tight circle around Launch - 6 Industry will fit if one takes the time. Reduces link distance. 2 Storage - One on either side of Launch, outboard of industry circle, aligned towards resource areas. 2 Extractor - One on each side of Storage, in resource field, with link distance as small as practical for best resource access. P0 routes to nearest Storage, which routes P0 to Basic, which routes P1 back to same Storage. P1 routes to Advanced. P2 routes to Launch. Launch. Done. NEVER expedited transfer if you can help it. 3000 PO per Basic Industry(so 6K) per 30 min keeps the whole thing cooking as an isk faucet. 12,000 P0 an hour. That is the ONLY number one needs, and one should watch for it when planning extraction cycles. Build up 36-48K of each P0 BEFORE starting P1 production. Build up 120+ of each P1 BEFORE starting P2 production. Once P0 reserves are over 2 hours worth, reset extraction for longest possible run while maintaining the 12k an hour average for each P0. Maybe once a week stop by to pick up P2. A while to set up right, a lifetime isk faucet. Get in a corp, kill some Customs Offices, put up your own. P.S. The bright or dim circle around each Industry is the next cycle's hopper. Full bright yellow means the Unit already has the NEXT cycle's mats onboard. The circle will be partially filled if there is insufficient mats available.
Am I the only one hearing the VAB music from Kerbal Space Program?

No lol, I bet half the people that play EVE play KSP too.
The music, the resource overlays, and the planetary bases are giving me heavy KSP flashbacks.
You can actually route the products before you have any available. When you set up the route from the extractor to the storage facility you can click on the "routes" tab on the storage facility and see the incoming materials. From there you can route the incoming materials to the processing facility. You can do the same thing with the processed materials to the advanced processing facility.
fiddling with contrast can be helpful so spots like the darker spot on the upper right of 8:58 is more visible.
Finally! Someone who made a video about PI and broke it down Barney style. This was very well done AND you didn't act like a condescending asshole like many other players who make tutorials just to show off how smart they are. I am recommending this tutorial to everyone in my corp interested in PI. Thank you for the help! And make more tutorials!
GREAT VIDEO!
You also don't need to wait for any material to make it to your storage facilities to create the routes. If you go to the routes tab of the storage facilities you'll see the incoming routes from the extractors. You can make outgoing routes directly from those incoming routes and then you have no need to wait.
This is great! Thanks man
o7, and i've played too much Kerbal Space Program because thats all I can hear. Thanks for the vid
And soon they will be available for capsuleers in hisec :) Thanks for tutorial. I use exact setup for Coolant and MechParts except with just 1 storage. Works fine :)
Very good explanation :) Thanks from Spain :)
Awesome. This method saved 5 seconds of my life!

Awesome. I'm commenting on this 6 years later.
Well played, thanks for that! I'll add an annotation, cheers. =D
You can also auto find schematics in the list by using the first letter. Saves some scrollng...
double click is your friend in pi. Don't be afraid to try it :) Also you can route stuff around without having items. click on links > order by size > route ti where you like.
series needs an update.
thank you very helpful
this is gold :o
I have around 10M SP and have around 2bil ISK and hardly earn any ISK. I just wonder how other players easily buy stuff from the EVE market in the forum for several hundred billions... Seriously, how can someone earn that much ISK?! How is it done, and how should I skill and work towards in order to earn that much ISK reasonably, meaning I do not want to play the game 24/7. Very thankful for all tips.

***** I have 2bil ISK and it is just rotting in my wallet. Not invested money is dead money. I wished I could come up with something I could invest the ISK in...Unfortunately I am too inexperienced to come up with an idea. What could I do with the rotting 2bil ISK?

mhybrid7 I take donations :) try manufacturing items. 10% profit margin is sufficient so you can either buy lots fo little bits. T2 items that are used by mission runners (sell them in the mission/trade hubs like dodixie moon 20) or you can go big and build a carrier and sell that?
Nice vid's. I prefer to put up a launchpad on all my planets. i find it makes it easier to setup routing and less chance of "loosing" cycles due to full storage facilities and you don't have to launch everyday, can just move it to the customs office.. Not sure which uses less PG though.
Probably due to the nature of the planet you working on, check the planet radius, the more radius the more power needed for links and the less facilities can be put, example for high radius planets by default:gas and storm.. hope that would help.
What to do if there is no customs office in your system?
you know you do not have to wait till you have product in storage to create a route to your production facilities right?
KSP Music? nice!
Did a good tutorial man
could u link or put a evemon skill plan for the featured skill build?
Hey love the video but having issues in a 0.6 sec. I am also on gas planet and it will only allow for 2 basic factory's and 1 advanced. I have skill researched to lvl 4 and still says im overloading. What can I do to fix this to follow your videos setup. Thank you
any idea why I'm 3 factories short of this setup with level 4 upgrades? the skill doesn't have a passive bonus correct? you need to actually pay for the upgrade for it to apply right? this is pissing me off more than it should
Number of processing plants is correct, byt the link setup makes my eyes bleed... If you want to do things right, do like this: Extractor routes resources to a storage. Processors tht are going to use those resources are situated next to this storage and route their results to the next storage (or to the same storage they are taking raw materials from if you need to cut the extra storage for Grid and CPU...) Commodities other than raw materials don't take much space, so other than having a dedicated storage for each extractor, you can then use a launchpad fro storing all the processing. and if you set up the number of processors right, you'r not going to have intermediate products in your storage as they are sent to further processing as soon as they appear.

Hey how can I get to your system to mine that planet? And use ur customs office
Should I plan to produce the highest tier commodities available or something between them and resources?
I didn't know you could do this.
KSP soundtrack?
How do I know / what defines whether a planet will have a customs office?

Kerbal Space Program intro! lol
So is that system 'safe' for public use now? :) Where are the common entry points?
So, they pay for their own plex. but it isn't worth it to just use as a alt-trading char? or just activate dual-training for 1-2 months, train up an PI alt, have him make the money for the plex to keep the account running Free of charge?
Not really, the only thing that upgrading your routes does is increase the amount of product that can be shipped along the route. So unless you have several different products traveling along the same route, there really isn't any point.
Dat KSP music!
You dont need a storage facility at all with this setup. You could have just used the spaceport for storage and saved the isk and pg
So, how do you know if you can put a command center on a planet?
@sragerr1
9 жыл бұрын
You always can if you have the skill and the command center
I don't have enough CPU on to link the factories
Why don't you upgrade your routes? Is it not worth the ISK?
Why 2 rows of processors? Why not 10, why not 1?
I have PI set up in high sec, how would I go about moving to a WH? How do you travel in and out of certain systems if the WH collapses?
@Alwin_Penn
7 жыл бұрын
3 years later, someone has an answer for you! If you're wanting to setup in WH space, you'll want to find yourself a stable wormhole. Else it'll be a giant pain in the ass to get back to your PI system if your WH collapses. But as far as moving yourself to WH space, you can find a nice little WH system to setup a POS in and begin your adventures in PI. If you're actually moving out there you don't really need a stable wormhole, though it doesn't hurt.

kerbal space program music!
More power means more extractors means more money!
you say that you can only own POCOs in null/WHs, but you can own them in Low Sec as well, FYI.
Sorry, meant this for EveBusinessInsider.
hey - just a small critic: In general your Video looks good - the music and your micros background-noise made it really hard for me to focus on the important infos. I would have preferred it silent.
Does anyone else thing this guy sounds like the presenter from the masked magician with that background music :D
The KSP music kinda tripps me out
Was only a generalization. =)
quite a few players have hit a trillion!

has someone ever reached a trillion isk?
Also note that without a customs office I don't think you can send materials DOWN to a planet, you can only launch/jetcan things OFF. Since the high end items can ONLY be produced on Temperate or Barren planets (Wetware mainframes, etc) and ALL require things that can only be built elsewhere it is critical to have a customs office and a launch pad at your final production locaiton.
Scumbag tutorial guy said upgrade the command center to lvl 4, but upgraded it to lvl 5.

i think that its just because this is a tutorial for beginners. this guy has been doing this for a while. i think level 4 is pretty much just what is ideal or required. level 5 is just the icing on the cake.
This set up is bad. Don't follow this.

kebman it does actually suck. U dont need to build around command center. It can be placed anywhere on the planet. U need a spaceport and put your processing plants around it for minimum link distance. Further u should bind a placement which is in the most concentrated areas of the resource(s) that you`re after.

Bjørnar Iversen Nice! Finally somebody who can explain! Thank you, man! I figured as much too, after doing a ton of Googling and reading. The ECU's don't need to be jammed up close to the factories either, and can be moved closer to the hot-spots without much loss of effectiveness.
This looks too complicated... i better not try this and waste my time and isk :D
