I always thought the correct Genelec comparison would be the 8010s, mainly based on physical size and woofer dimensions...

eve sc203 is the winner, i hear distortion slightly lowest and a bit muddy( non scoop eq/compare to genelec) this badness can making good finish session mixing result.

Even if the frequency graphs seem very similar, the sound signatures are very different. To me, the Genelec sounds calmer, fuller.

I had Genelec 8020 at home, Neumann kh 80 and other 2 4 inch monitor but the result was the same: under 5 inches woofer no speaker sound good. Is the minimum acceptable

EVE 203 should be set to ''Flat'' in POS menu first. Now as I can hear they're in 'Desk' mode - that's why they sound so weird compare to Genelecs. Anyways, I got them and I can tell you that eve's sounds amazing and translates very very well. I had Genes 8010AP which let me down with everything under 200hz and poor DSP. 8010, ilouds Micro and everything with 3'' cone isn't that good as SC203 with 1 exception- ilouds MTM defo ARE!

Speakers with the same waveform and very similar characteristics If you want to build 8010, consider the double cost of DAC, audio interface, XLR cable, etc., the SC203 model is I can see you win

Damn this is sad, i didn't expect the eve were this bad. Metal tracks are real killer for speaker with tonality deviation.

why is the right SC203 on the left? just curious...

i have the eve-audios with the sub, and that combination is amazing. but the genelecs do the midrange better...

People listen to this as a hifi speaker, my opinion is that the studio speaker must be as flat ad possible. How does it translate your mix when bounce it. Genelec is not bad but for me the eve audio is flat 👌🏻 that’s what you want. If you make it good on the eve its sound great when you bounce it. ( i did the test for myself with the genelec 8050 vs eve audio sc 208) eve is very easy to work on and really fast for making decisions. Genelec is not flat and take me work a little bit longer for a good result. Another important thing is, when you place you speaker the genelec sound different when placing them. The eve audio is more stable on every place Just my opinion

the sound of the SC203 is just horrible but I don't know if the room accoustics plays a role in this judgement. In your others videos the differences are not so clear. Anywai thank you for all the vids you make, it was a big reason why I have bought the Edifier R2750 last week, and I am very statisfied with them!!! :)

SC203 are just not very good, especially compared to monitors like 8020D and room has nothing to do with that. Congrats on your R2750DB!
