That is kind of the most fitting ending. Everyone becomes Tang. Shinji learns to accept happiness and dissolves into the collective nothingness as everyone cheers him on (some might be hallucinations).

I absolutely love how, for the first half of the series, this upbeat 90s "Next Time on NGE!" music is perfectly appropriate ("the kids fight a monster! Shinji and Asuka play Dance Dance Revolution!") and then it becomes darkly hilarious when the disconnect with the episode summary keeps increasing ("Asuka is mind-raped! Rei kills herself!").

Fitting every important scene from EVA in just 30 is already impressive. But making the music perfectly fit with the scenes is even more amazing. I also love how it starts off light-hearted but then starts to get twisted midway,akin to how things get more and more messed up as the episodes go on. But then it goes back to its normal,cheerful yet hopeful song,just like at the last episode

I just love the calming music while there’s a horrifying and depressive anime in the back.

Evangelion is one of the deepest anime I have ever seen. Other than the actual plot (which I am NOT going into detail) the opening itself tricks the audience that it is going to be an action Heavy Mecha anime with romantic mellow drama undertones. When in reality, that is just 10% of what it’s actually about, it’s so meta

back when Clickbait didnt exist, he indeed showed us whole evangelion under 30 seconds, we need more Hero's like him.

I love how this gets progressively worse and violent and ends with Shinji's smile.

This is a really great compression! It captures a majority of the important angels and scenes all alongside fitting perfectly with the preview music. I will say, I concur with the other comments mentioning how this makes the show seem way more upbeat - removing all the slow scenes will do that to you.

The fate of the world now rests in the hands of an angsty teen with severe depression's ability to get over his problems and get in the giant robot.

What a fun, light-hearted showcase of what is surely to be a fun, light-hearted show about a nice young man and a nice young lady fighting giant monsters in their giant robots together

the freakin scene of Shinji and Asuka playing complex twister just makes my day

When the ending scene appeared all i could hear in my mind was "omedeto omedeto" And my eyes could see those brilliant HD subtitles saying "congratulations congratulations" And a whole lotta claps... *TRAUMATIZING* CLAPS

I like the end of Evangelion ending of this show, but it raises more questions than it answers. The original show finale is less objective and non-linear, but ironically much more straightforward in its attempt to share the themes and narratives of the show. I prefer the two episode long group therapy session.

i feel like finding a 15 years old anime fossil video

You ever had that one classmate you rarely talked to in highschool or whatever but both were still chill to each other, but after graduation you just forget about him, his face and name. Then years later you randomly find him again in the streets and suddenly all the memories about him return and you get a very specific feeling; it's not joy because you never really cared about him but you are still happy you know he's still out there? Well that's what I felt after YT recommended me this video I first watched 15 years ago.
