Couldn't find this anywhere but internet archive. From the twilight of the silent era, and the dawning of sound. With Delores del Rio, Roland Drew, Alec B Francis, and Donald Reed. Directed by Edwin Carewe. Based on the epic poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.

Dolores del Rio, the exquisite latina
Beautiful Dolores del Río.
A heartbreaker, real heartbreaker - I can't take no more,
My name is Evangeline. Named after my great grandmother-Evangeline Francis.
Wow very nice story..my eldest Sister named Evangeline ..Very Inspirable Love Story nman ❤️🙏😀💝😭🎁 ...
Thank you!! I saw this at UCLA. So memorable!! Based on a shameful era of British brutality against the French Canadian Acadia and their friends, allies and family, Mi'kmaq, the major Indigenous tribe. Breaks my heart. Tragic. Unforgettable.

The character is Cajun, or Acadian.

They were Acadian -- from Nova Scotia before the expulsion. The region was called Acadie. The Acadians were 100% of European descent, not Creole.

@@marysinclair2468 actually some Acadians have indigenous ancestry because of the mikmaq tribes here in Nova Scotia

@CanadianMonarchist never disputed that, I'm definitely not short nor darker, I'm also Acadian, and from the maritimes, Halifax Nova Scotia is where I live.
