I can't believe when this song came out back then, everyone was jamming to it at Bars not realizing what she was really singing about. I always loved this song because I think a lot of people can relate to it. I feel bad for anyone who had to experience that.

If I remember it right, this song is about a poem written by Evanescence original guitarist Ben Mood. Them poem talks about a girl that got trapped in the haunted house that is always trying to runaway but never finds a way out. (Sorry if there's any typos, english is not my first language)
