Amy and Evanescence set the bar so high for this genre of music with this one song that not alot of singers and musicians can even try touching it without destroying it. Addie does exactly the opposite in this cover. This is hands down the best cover of Bring Me to Life that I have ever heard. Addie shows what a tremendous range she has and Brad just slays the backup vocals. Just.... damn. This is amazing.

I honestly didn't want to scream the raps. But I couldn't make the raps sound good. And the key / pitch of the screaming is too high. This one is just not my fav. I have a super limited range when it comes to timbre and singing. I wish we'd gotten a guest vocalist for this part. I think Addie did great though

Old Ev super fan and more recent Halocene fan here . I can’t tell you how many times I’ve burned up the fallen album with this track on repeat . Many have covered this alt rock anthem and few have succeeded. Amy is in rarefied air , and there is no vocalist like her ,as a female singer goes . However, I’m pretty dumbfounded. Addie kept the integrity of Amy , while keeping her own signature vocals . Her voice always makes you feel something inside I can’t quite explain . It’s such a beautiful gift . One of the purest and best female rock voices I’ve heard ! Loved Brad’s screaming as always, and Joe’s tempo and skill . You guys don’t just cover songs you crush them in the best way possible ! Thanks for covering my fave band 🙏 Love you guys

I really like that the timbre of Addie's voice is of a softer nature, but she still makes this song work -- makes it her own that is. It's really shown me that as a person with a softer timbre myself I can still sing songs like this and make it sound just as metal in my own way. I've always loved the song and this just made me love it even more. Well done, and thank you!

you could try learning different languages for that purpose, but I am afraid that even that wouldn't be enough to fully capture this masterpiece - because I have yet to encounter a language that has a term that describes something that goes beyond total perfection.

Addie is such a versatile singer. She can do so many different styles and do them really well. I'm always impressed. Edit: PLEASE do Cold by Crossfade It was my favorite song growing up. Still is now that I think about it.

I know this might not be seen with this cover having come out months ago, but am I the only one imaging Halocene and some other artists collabing to make an awesome metal cover of Ways to Be Wicked? Like, here's a collab idea for this song that I can see off the top of my head: *Addie could sing the lines for Mal (Dove Cameron) *Either Lauren/Violet/Audra/Daria/any other awesome female artist on KZread could sing the lines for Evie (Sofia Carson) * Caleb Hyles could sing the lines for Carlos (Cameron Boyce) * And Johnathan Young could sing the lines for Jay (Booboo Stewart) * Last but not least, I don't have any preference on when it could come out (any time is awesome!) but it would be really nice if this could be a tribute for Cameron Boyce, may he rest in peace. Of course this is just an idea, regardless of whoever pitches in if they were to cover it I just know it will be amazing!

@@Cadia_Kottr Amy Lee purposefully made the original as a Rock Ballad. The only three differences between the original and Halocene was some drop tuning, the fact Amy Lee has a slightly more operatic voice, and that the male vocal parts were done more intentionally. Live recordings of this song done by Evenessence, the Drummer or the guitarist will do spoken word/some singing on the male parts.
