What's the best settings for optimal bass and and tops settings for indoor/outdoor events venues etc?

The 12P how about hissing if there is no signal on the PA. Is this noticeable?

Does clips....i had the zx1..700 watts..and it use clip very easy...but I use to love the way it bass feel...now thinking getting the ev 1200 watts..

@@MobilediscowirralCoUk Depends on what you are comparing it to. Its not a 18" by any means. In the 12" sub choices it really performs! Another sub in similar price range is the RCF 702. Also a 12 inch sub, but lacking the APP.

Thanks for the video. I happen to have one ELX 200 12SP and one ZLX-12P. I can buy a rod and have the same setup you have shown in the video. My question is, do I need a pair of these ( speaker + sub) x 2? Or will one speaker + one sub good enough for a room (say, living room). Thanks a lot!

nvm, found my answer by watching your Gig log video. You used a 2x2 setup. That's pretty nice. I am just a newbie. I wonder if it will work if I use on sub + 2x ZLX-12P. Probably will work but for sure may not be as good. I am not a DJ. I just happen to get some of these speakers for free so I want to play with them :)

Eddy, Do you know what a good mixer would be to purchase to complicate this sound system?

I am looking for a dedicated Home Theater active sub. How would these type of sub work as compared to specific HT ones? Thank you!

These subs are more for high performance use . The HT subs can produce lower sub frequencies.. your choice of appklication..

Eddy, great video, I also have ZLX 12" speaker as well and I am also looking for a 12" sub. Question: Why you didn't buy the EV ZXA1-Sub 12" along with your ZLX series, but you bought the ELX200? Between the ZXA1-sub 12" vs ELX200 12" sub which one would you recommend? Thanks.

Stay with the DSP model, it’s a great value having the “smart” speaker!!

I have a EV Force Sub - that was converted from passive to active by integrating a ELX 118P amplifier into the case, and it works.

How do I hook up one 12-in subwoofer to both speakers

I'm guessing it only needs a signal from one speaker . Getting two signals of the same frequency would do nothing .

Link from each left/right output from speakers to sub inputs using XLR cables. That’s it

I personally like to connect to the tops, because thats where most of the sound is coming out of. Im using these subs to basically just fill in the bottom end and make the tops sound much better. Ive had these ZLX 12ps for years now as my main set up. Its time to get them a little support.

The one shown in this video is a 12", for some reason EV only make a 12" and an 18" sub for the ELX series, if you wanted a 15" sub you would need to get the EKX.

What subwoofer do you Think would be the best if i have 2 ev zlx 15p

All subs should be in a wooden enclosure is you ever see a plastic one run as far as you can

they sound amazing for how small they are! if you head over to my channel you'll see a gig log I made. I recently did a car show and used these subs for the first time that day.

Behringers are the worst lol hence why I moved to EVs
