Love the reaction! Defo hoping these legends win the Eurovision this year, but I’m not too optimistic about the votes. They’re awesome live too, though, so they won’t be the problem for sure! The string sound comes from the Talharpa, by the way. It’s an Estonian instrument dating back to Vicking times. The guys from Puuluup contributed massively in popularising it. Just one of the many reasons why this entry is super dope.

5 Miinust means ‘five minuses’ (like in math), Puuluup means ‘wood magnifier’. Basically modern rap meets native instruments. Kids love it :D

Luup also means single-masted sailboat (in English: sloop). So it could be translated as "wooden sloop". But most likely it's meant to be loop, because they use electronic loopers in their songs (alongside the old wooden instrument talharpa). And puuluup is also a palindrome.

First of all, good music never goes out of style. Metsatöll did a song called "Viim" with goat's head instruments, like that, clearly visible, true. Mongolian group The Hu, same style of traditional instruments, and throat singing (Wolf Totem). Then there's Heilung. All good.

The video is recorded in the border town Narva in the Greenholm district. It’s an old linen and wool processing factory. And it’s located exactly across the russian border. You can see russia from there. It’s closed for safety purposes and to keep the historical point. I had the chance to go for a tour there as an estonian and it’s fascinating the factories are bigger than some skyscrapers. If u were to come to estonia thats one place to visit if u have the chance. It has to be arranged of course.
