This song is a tribute to his father / Parents who passed away. Europa in Dutch means Europe. Pa or Papa means dad. His dad once told him the world has no “Grenzen” which could be translated to both borders (Borders are a man made concept) or limitations (Many people create their own limitations in their own mind). This life lesson inspired him to have keep having an open view on the world and live his life to the fullest without putting limitations on himself. After his parents died he carried a lot of pain with him. No matter where on earth he was (Germany, Italy), whatever food he would eat (Escargots in France, Fish and chips in UK, Paella in Spain), he still carries this pain with him. In the end nobody but himself could deal with this pain and he himself must find peace with his losses. Only going through the grief and finding inner peace would put a end to this suffering. This song tells the story of him as an orphan trying to do exactly that. Him creating this song was a huge part of this process. The line with Stromae / papaoute (which Translates to: Dad where are you), is followed with the words about how he wants his parents to be proud of him. He used to watch Eurovision with his parents and told them one day he would be there performing. Which is what he now did.

Awesome reaction. This is a masterpiece!!! This is the winner of Eurovision Songcontest 2024, for me. No doubt. Research: Europapa = Eurodad. 12 points for The Netherlands. An ode to his father who passed away when he was 12 years and his mother who passed away when he was 13 years. His father told him that there are no borders / boundaries, no limits. Go, travel and discover Europe and the world. He promised his father that one day he will be singing at the Eurovision. They used to watch it together when he was a child. Now he made it, because he will be on stage this year. Everywhere he travelled he carried the pain and grief with him. The fire simbolise letting go of the pain of no having his parents and the start of a new chapter in his life.

The song is actually a bit sad. As others already stated, he lost his parents at a very young age. There are a lot of double meanings / connections to his parents and surely i am missing something but ill try to name some: Like the song is called "euro-papa" because papa is dad in dutch. He is singing that he goes to other places but he feels lonely. He lost everything except time. he is struggeling He is giving people money but nobody is helping him. He went to mental healthcare but they could not help him. He is talking about the song Papaoutai from stromae. Papa outai means "dad is here" and the phrase Où t'es? Papa où t'es? means Where are you? Dad where are you? check out the lyrics of that song too :) He is also mentioning "i wont stop until they say, yes he does that very well" because he is seeking pride from his parents. The ending is pretty clear but i think he is talking to his dad and his younger him and he tells his dad that he listend to him. Also the burning picture and burning house stands for him closing that chapter and he wants to move on and dont want to feel the pain anymore. while he was in therapy they used burning stuff to let go the oldn

Happy tunes, sad lyrics throughout.. no matter where he goes, the pain of loss travels with him. The burning at the end means he is ready to move on. This goes deep, true art. Love your reaction. And your audio quality is top notch. Easily in the top 3 of reactor video's, well done.. and as a dutchie I have seen (and commented) on loads of reactions.. it our duty nestcepas...😂 And I did subscribe, you deserve to be monetized. This is not from 2000 and later, but more the 90s sound (1995-1999). The end (before the sad part) is Happy Hardcore and Dj Paul Elstak had made that part (Happy Hardcore was famous in the Netherlands in 1995/1996/1997). And the other styles are also 90s more scooter/eiffel 65 songs from the 90s. More facts: in the Netherlands we call dad also Pa or Papa, so thats why Euro-pa-pa-pa-pa ... Europa but for Joost Klein also a tribute for his dad / parents.

I heard this song this morning for the first time on the Dutch radio (Ekdom in de morgen) and i almost had to swallow my own vomit, just had to see the video and the video is just as cheesy as i imagined and i still think it's a pile of trash, this is the worst song represented by the Netherlands since Sieneke but hey i am not the targeted audience for the Eurovision and in the end it is all subjective, still enjoyed your reaction tho...
