I never understand why so many interviewers/journalists ask the same questions. If the answer to the question has already been broadcast/published, why can't they think of something more original and interesting to ask instead? It's hardly news if someone has asked them the same thing 15 times already. And it must be so boring for them to answer it over and over again. Do better, journalists!

The thing is at Eurovision they have certain amount of time to talk to different journalists after they finish with rehearsals, before the real press conference starts. So it's highly likely to get the same questions first time around. I hope now that this was said so many times, they won't be asked about band name over and over again.

I think it has also to do with the audience. If it‘s an interview for TV/YT or radio, the audience won‘t know a lot about them, so I think they ask them basic questions so the audience finds out more about them especially the ones who hardly know them

I can actually answer that one! It’s because we have to assume the audience is unique to the magazine, tv show or other medium the interview is for. The information might be common knowledge to fans, but we do have to assume we have to introduce an artist, movie or any other interviewee from the start. When a band is more known worldwide like Måneskin is starting to be now, that information is assumed to be common knowledge and we get to ask more questions that dive into detail about like their music, writing process, artistic vision etc… That’s the most fun!

Well, I think Lady Gaga just do what most Americans do: they identify themselves as Irish, Italian or Dutch just because their grandfathers or grand-grandfathers were from those countries. But in most cases they don't speak the language and don't know much about their ancestors culture. Or, in some cases, they share an extremely americanized version of their ancestors' cuture, and a good example may be the so-called Italian traditional food that is popular in the US but it is something that you will never ever find in any Italian household or restaurant in Italy, like Mac and Cheese or fettuccine with meatballs, etc. (and this is one classic topic where Italians tend to be really sensitive and even confrontational... just check any American video of a so-called "Italian recipe" - and I mean ANY, with no exceptions - and you will see tons of angry/puzzled comments from Italian Italians, usually with some good reason).

In fact she is half Italian for her father and half Danish for her mother. But she was born and lived in Rome and therefore she gesticulates like all Italians 😄

Exept in Sweden we never asked lmao everyone understood what it meant and just assumed she had some connection to the nordic countries

yup, she does. But to be fair - most bilingual people do have some odd pronounciations here and there. It comes with juggling 2 primary languages in your mind. My daughter has been living outside DK since she was 6, so English has now become her main language. While she understands all Danish words, her own Danish pronounciation is sometimes way off, but it doesnt make her less Danish.

This has the same energy as when bts gets asked which artists they would like to do a song with
