Thanks for putting my country at first place! I‘m so proud of Gjon and be really glad that our broadcaster nominated Gjon for 2021 as well! I hope he will deliver as much as he did this year! And I like you raised Belgium and Georgia higher than most of the others! Its so disappointing that we never gonna see them live on the esc stage...

I hope he brings an amazing song next year too!!! Hopefully once live music and concerts come back some of the artists may perform their songs casually, but yes, so sad we won't see them on the ESC stage :( it's a good thing most artists are returning with a new song, but I will sorely miss Ulrikke, Dadi, the Mamas, etc...

In this moment I got an Idea for a Video (but it’s earliest for next winter/spring): You can make a battle between all the singer from 2020 who got a second chance in 2021...

​@@magician7773 I believe Dadi actually said in Icelandic media that he probably doesn't want to return for 2021.... I understand, honestly, the hype around him has been ENORMOUS, so he's already gotten exposure and he will probs catch heat if his entry isn't exactly to the standard of Think About Things. It sucks but it's the way things turned out. Maybe he'll return in future! I have trouble making pretty battle videos because I use very cheap free editing software with a lot of limitations, lol. But this would be a great video to make and I will definitely try when the time comes!

Cyprus 🇨🇾 underrated. It is seriously one of the best songs of 2020. I understand why people do not like it because it is not the traditional “Eurovision song” and that is not necessarily a bad thing. It is just so emotive. My ninth of 2020 and one of the most criminally underrated songs from 2020 for sure. Just love how the upbeat production masks the dark lyrical content.

Sorry I am a bit late on this one but here are my personal comments: 41: mediocre, nothing important 40: I believe it's kinda underrated but it's a bit unremarkable 39: mediocre again 38: not my style at all 37: I actually like this one. Dark art pop 36: a big no from me 35: god this is my fifth place this year. Every edition needs a strong balkan ballad. 34: mediocre and old fashioned 33: I don't like my country's song at all 32: no no no 31: I really like this song it's so calm and beautiful 30: meh. Nice high note though 29: I like this one. It's I believe representative of the English music style 28: Such an amazing voice she kinda saves the song. 27: I like this one a lot. It has a country feel to it. 26: absolutely despise this song 25: ah I love them. They would have done amazingly. 24: no not my style 23: I like the Portuguese language so this is a bonus. But the song is unimaginative 22: feels cheap to me 21: meh but catch drop 20: can't stand this one especially the drop 19: my guilty pleasure of the year it's just stuck in my head. 18: my third place. I love her voice and the song is breathtaking 17: danceable and cultural. It's okay 16: meh 15: Georgia is one of my top Eurovision countries (2016, 2011 winner of mine, 2010 second place) but this one feels a bit mediocre. It's good nevertheless. 14: I love her and her song 13: again a bit cheap but it's a bop 12: yes. Amazing voice. 11: okayish 10: I don't quite like soul songs 9: quirky, fun and addictive. I love it 8: my fourth place. I love the calmness of it and the Billie Eilish vibes. 7: yes amazing. Love her performance as well. 6: maybe a bit too generic 5: original and catchy as hell. In my top 10 4: yeeeees it's divisive but I love it. I know the lyrics by heart 3: Italian quality. My second place. Italy never fails to deliver and it is my favourite Eurovision country. 2: it's okay I guess. A bit boring for me. 1: Once again we have the same winner (if I remember correctly turkey 2010 is your winner as well in 2010?). Gjon's song is so emotional and well written. And he has an amazing voice. I believe he would have been our winner this year.

Hello there! :) 40: Yeahhh, this is my new last place. I just don't enjoy it, it's pretty flimsy and awkward to me. 39: SUCH A GROWER, I really like this song now. 37: I really like the chorus in the studio version, it sounds very cool. But live, oh, the vocals are dreadful. And the verses were always awkward to me. I like dark pop too but I don't think this works well... maybe would benefit from the pre recorded vocals rule. Natalia is lovely yet mayyybe too awkward for such a edgy song. 35: I've bumped this up at least five spots now! But hmm, even though I've always enjoyed Balkan ballads, I don't really ~feel~ this one. Oh, well, I respect it and appreciate seeing people rank it high :) 33: Kind of relieved I'm not the only one who doesn't like this, it's just so..... midtable Junior Eurovision song. 31: Yes, this has grown on me too

Pretty darn good taste there, well done.Sorry to be so late in the comment. Ukraine was not an original song, just a traditional folk song jazzed up a bit, Iceland and Australia felt flat, the Dutch is a bit of a grower but not my top five, you saw nicely through the intro for Georgia,it's a good song, and you rewarded the cream of Italy and Swiss justly. If only Benno hadn't put some rap in his song, and Armenia's Chain's was a bit dull as was Azer's 'la la la laar like Cleopatra' over and over again. The Roop are a fine band and the production was superb. The reason why '17 shines like a diamond is the quality of the vid's. I don't mind a music vid ESC, you got some live final's footage with some of the acts, but mostly I prefer the vid's to the live performance;not always of course. So I got the full ESC experience.

I think the Ukrainian song was pretty daring because of the fusion itself, folk and modern electronic music is a hard sell but it really works. Iceland... I still really like the song, but it would be an odd winner to me, no explosive peak. I like Montaigne's song still but it needed polishing. She seems good as an artist though, so I look forward to her entry next year. I do really like the Swiss and Italian songs. I've seen a little criticism lately for them being too ~ artsy ~ but I don't find them snobbish, just genuinely amazing. Benny's song is pretty much all sung and hardly rapped, so it's not that big a deal. Cleopatra is made to be performed... it all really hinged on if Efendi could pull it off, and I don't know. I think Chains on You would've been great live, but again, we'll never see it! I don't ever really pay attention to music videos but that's an interesting perspective. To me, the performance matters the most, it's where songs come alive.

@@eurovisiongal7007 I've had a surfeit of live shows in the past; not esc;- so I'm a bit biased against them. But if they can equal or outshine their vids I'm all for it. In other words, I like the live esc show. There are or were bands in the Russian federation, if I can call it that, who jazz up trad folk tunes, but the Ukraine was a very fine example. Your quite right to big up Italy and Swiss, they are my top two with Lithuania in 3rd.I'm being a bit hard on Efendi, there was more to the song. Really the only song I didn't like was Ben and Tan, and that's saying something. A few left me flat, but that's normal. The reason why I like '17 so much is the vid's outshone the live in several cases.But '20 is up there.

I know this is faaaaar too late, but just in case you missed it - Georgia's lyrics mentioned the Big 5 countries (Italy, UK, Spain, Germany, France), while asking "Why don't you want me to be just the way I am?" - pointing out how Georgia often sends "offbeat/quirky" songs and rarely gets good results, while the Big 5 countries qualify automatically every year, no matter how much (or, often, how little) effort they put in. In the chorus, the female vocalist also sings "I love you" in each of the Big 5's languages. Personally, I think those are some of the best, most meaningful lyrics of 2020, and together with Tornike's powerful voice make Take Me As I Am my favourite song of the year.

I with this year wasn’t cancelled, because to me all of these songs are 8/10s or above. They are all really good, some less, but mostly really well! I usually find it easy to find my favourite of a year, but this one jusy got so many!

Unfortunately we didn't have the chance to watch the performances, but since I know little things about the staging of Greece, I will say that what we saw in the video was NOT gonna happen on stage! It would be a top 5 finish, believe me...

Ok very late to the party here but I figured I’d chip in and add my thoughts about the list here (3 months later and this is still such a bummer) 41. Yeah, I just cannot stand this song. Always finding myself skipping this one on top lists. Something about it just makes me angry. 40. Wasn’t particularly rooting for a song in its national final so I’m not as bitter as most were when this song was selected. Still doesn’t quite do much for me either. 39. Yeah it’s there I suppose. 38. It’s just such a painfully forgettable entry, but I do apparently they weren’t riding on Fuego’s coattails this year. That’s about the nicest thing i can say about it 37. ...Wasn’t at all impressed with the live, but this song is a bit of a guilty pleasure and I would’ve loved to see this done live. Moldova usually goes all out with their performances. 36. Yeah it’s there I suppose. Kinda reminds me of Serhat’s 2016 entry which is a huge stretch but ??? Kinda gives me that vibe. 35. Yeah it’s-i think you get the point. Kinda liked other stuff in the NF over it but I’m not particularly mad at this entry. It’s there. 34. Meh. Kinda don’t really like it. It’s a bit TOO dated for my liking, which isn’t too much of a bad thing but I don’t believe it would’ve qualified. 33. Yeah I pretty much agree with you there. 32. It’s just another entry that fails to really interest me. I don’t hate it nearly as much as I did with their 2019 entry so I suppose it’s a step up, but I don’t know, it’s fine i guess. 31. This song aged so wonderfully after the contest got cancelled. Jokes aside I can see why people were upset (I really liked Cicciolina), but the dude has a wholesome song and it might’ve been a bit of an underdog? 30. Yeah not much to add here other than I kiiinda find myself enjoying this more than I should. 29. Yeah. 28. Also yeah. 27. Another case of me just kinda preferring other songs over this one. It’s not bad though. 26. Guilty pleasure song #2. I find myself enjoying it more than I should (the subreddit HATED this song) 25. Yeah, this gives me HUGE Aqua vibes. At least it’s super memorable. Sucks we couldn’t see it done live. 24. Absolutely agree. THEY SOLD CONDOMS TO PROMOTE THIS SONG, their efforts shall not go in vain (gutted we couldn’t see this done live either) 23. Ehh sure 22. It’s definitely not terrible but it doesn’t do anything for me 21. I find myself bopping to this song, but yeah it probably would’ve gotten last. A bit unremarkable compared to the others but it’s enjoyable to me. 20. I kinda love and despise this song. It’s probably a bit too chaotic for my liking but it could’ve worked on the big stage? 19. Definitely a standout song to me imo. Leagues more interesting than their entry from last year. 18. A bit of a hot take but this song just annoys me. Maybe it’s the voice or the tone. Something just irks me about it. 17. Liked the different languages. Is a bit of a bop. 16. Meh. 15. Yeah the lyrics kinda suck...but I do appreciate the efforts they made this year, always find Georgia a tad underrated. 14. Yeah. 13. I remember people hating this song but now people seemed to have grown on it. Unfortunately for me it’s just REALLY not for me. 12. Eh, kinda preferred it in Albanian. 11. Was in my top 3 for a while, poor guy revamped his song 3 TIMES and didn’t get to perform it...love the dude for responding so well to the hate, and i still love this song. 10. The Mamas were the best part about last year’s performance, they’re just so wholesome and charismatic. Song’s not for me but their energy lifts it up so much. 9. I never really quite understood the hype for this song, but it’s lifted by the fella’s charisma yet again. 8. Was actually my favorite to win. I just...really like this one. 7. Probably would’ve elevated a bit more on the Eurovision stage. 6. They were pretty good in JESC 2015 and they probably could’ve REALLY delivered on the big stage 5. All I can say is that as much as I’m kinda disappointed this one didn’t get to make the big stage (I feel bad for a lot of the artists too) and yeah i hope Lithuania gets to deliver next year. 4. Yeah 3. You can tell my commentary gets a lot lazier as it goes on lmaooo. Great song (even if I STILL rooted for other stuff), wonder how they would’ve shortened it... 2. As much as I still don’t quite think this one is for me I respect it, it’s a quite respectable entry and I really appreciate this kinda stuff. 1. Yeah this one’s pretty good. The revamp made me hate it less, it suddenly sounds more legitimate?? But I'd still only bump it up like 2 or 3 spots 38. Now that sandro got the boot I fully expect them to do another Fuego type song lol 34. I'm actually very excited for 2000s throwback era to start but I don't think this is the right song to do it! 32. Not sure what I was for when I made this vid, Alive is now bottom 3 tbh. Limits at least in the studio has grown on me ENORMOUSLY though, it's also bottom 3 in my 2019 vid but I think I'd place it top 30 easily :) 31. Actually this was also a huge grower for me. Here are my thoughts My places: 41 - hate 40-34 - meh 33-28 - like 27-20 - love 19-1 - EXTREME LOVE 41 - yep, that's not good (40) 40 - it's just pretty generic but, i'll admit, it's a little bit "a guilty pleasure" for me (34) 39 - boring but with great vocals (36) 38 - this genre is quite nostalgic to me so i love this. Why does everyone hate on North Macedonia, Serbia, Moldova and Estonia? All of them are amazing. And why everyone loves on Switzerland, Italy, Romania, Australia and Bulgaria. I do not hate them (except of Italy) but I do not like them also.

3 years later and still shocked that France was last. Don‘t get me wrong, it was not a great song but not last place worthy
