Thanks for this. FYI: the base of the antenna is anchored to the frame visa a small bracket at the base of the antenna. It's secured by a 10 mm nut. Remove this nut FIRST and you'll find the extraction comes MUCH easier.

thanks! my friends van's antenna has been busted like yours for years. I finally had enough and said I would fix it. I just couldn't find a video to help me until I stumbled upon yours. What a huge help!

Excellent video. One thing....my Eurovan has a small flat grounding strap running from the hood to the acorn nut on the fender. So I had to remove that nut and strap to pull the sound deadening pad aside. BTW I bought my new antenna from your website.

Very helpful. More Eurovan vids please! Would like to know if it's possible to run the antenna internally -- and install a whip-tenna on the roof.

Did the kit come with the same male coaxial style connector to connect to the original cable that passed through the firewall? I assume so since you had several feet left over to tuck away. If so, where did you get the kit? I've seen a couple on the web, but they don't appear to have that male end. I really don't want to pull the radio and poke through the firewall.
