Yes, it took a certain nous to appreciate/understand this - even at the time Brits were well aware of Antoine de Caune's status as an insightful pundit and his stint on Rapido (Oh God the early Manics/circa Generation Terrorists was an absolute highlight of that show). I suppose the rubes came in for the smut, the bored for the gamut, the dubbing (of Brit accents over wonkily surgically-enhanced Continental bints) was so funny. Not to mention the deathless Romeo Cleaners. 2024, you can go home, nobody likes you.
