I don't know why I've never seen this concert till now. It's just marvelous. The video and sound quality is outstanding. The orchestra, choir, soloists and conducting are out of this world. Doesn't get any better than this. I can't get over how many people have come to see this, and to see how happy it makes everyone. That's just wonderful. Then I think to myself, why can't we all live in love and peace with one another just as Jesus taught us. Anyways, Thank you so much for uploading this wonderful concert. Such a joy to watch.

Wonderful music! Ben and Mary, USA
What a gorgeous audience fans, oh yezzzzzz, let only music rule the world and let it sound just this good, big loving hug all music lovers out there, what a great event indeed, unforgettable ❤
Frankfurt may not have one of the world's best outdoor venues for concerts such as this, but it does have what I believe has become one of the world's great orchestras. It's excellent to have them sharing this highly enjoyable popular concert, clearly very much appreciated by the audience at the packed venue ─ also by this viewer! Thank you. [Although perhaps for the KZread HD upload, the talks by the Moderator could have been omitted.]

Magnificent.

Muy bueno
Solo falto el final de la octava de Mahler, y hubiera estado sublime esta concierto, pero fue un extraordinario concierto.

Optically and acoustically a masterpiece - bravo! Watching it again, I still find the repertoire rather confusing though. Granted, Liszt's Totentanz (With Alice Sara Ott) has been removed for this compilation, thereby avoiding another strange twist. Besides, a "Dance of Death" on a program that's supposed to celebrate 20 years of EURO... what is this supposed to tell us?

Perhaps it was meant as a "Memento Mori"?

Cosima, you may have a point in questioning the appropriateness of "totentanz" as a jubilant piece but be honest: how can you, how can anyone make a "proper selection" of European music. It's like picking up five "nicest" stars from the clear skies; there is sooo much good, excellent, fantastic music. It's is virtually impossible. Which brings me to another point: perhaps the organizers of the Europa Open Air festival should try to open the repertory towards the world and incorporate - in shorter, well measured and carefully choreographed - pieces of, say Japanese music, Northern Native musics,.... I know this sounds crazy, perhaps even offensive to a more traditionally-attuned, gentler Mittel-European ear, but, hey, we are becoming if not one but a much tighter, and much more dynamically connected plurality of ethnicities and cultures. Why wouldn't Frankfurt be a torch-bearer of this natural process?
Timestamps would be great
Because it's in Germany. Would itvhsve been in Britain. You would. I guarantee this...politics
