Found this fly yesterday - tied up a couple and fished them the same evening. They worked like a charm! Thanks for the video!

Great looking bug, brother. Adding peacock herl to any trout fly is ALWAYS a great idea!

Looks great Jake. Nice way to get more use out of a feather. Schlappen base would work well also.

Very nice fly, we tie one similar out here in bc as a baby damsel, tying the whole fly with the strung marabou, using the tips for the tail then wrapping up the body, saves time, gives the same look and one plume will tie multiple flies:) Tightlines!

Thanks for sharing! I'll tie up a couple like this and also try some without the wire but twisting the marabou around the waxed thread as a rope to make the body. Cheers! Hank

Hello Hank! You can certainly try that method! it may not be as durable has wire wraps but doesn't hurt to try it out!

Perfect. As amazing as any classic dress salmon fly in terms of technique. Well, almost. But certainly more practical and easily as beautiful. This fly will, “hunt” to quote Kelly Gallup. I will definitely roll some. Thank you.
