And regarding our Macedonian language it was "delivered" by Saints Cyril and Methodius in the 9th century(many many years after Alexander) in Solun(Greek=Thesalonica)...it was part of Macedonia then...and after 1913 it is part of Greece. This slavic language was spread between people living in Aegean Macedonia(today North Greece), Vardar Macedonia (Republic of Macedonia), Pirin Macedonia(today western Bulgaria), Bulgaria, Serbia, ex-Yugoslav Republics, Russia...etc

Actualy the semi-finals match: Macedonia-Russia was at least 10 times better match to watch than the finals(France-Spain). Our two countries presented real basketball-show... And this your reply shows that you don't know anything about history. But anyway... Macedonians speak Slav language now because when the Slavs came on the Balkan Peninsula they shared the culture and language with Ancient Macedonians and they married each other (ex: Macedonian man with Slav woman). It is true that Alexander spoke Greek language but he was Ancient Macedonian, and now we are descendants of the Slavs and Ancient Macedonians who lived together on Macedonian soil and we are proud.

Alexander didn't speak Macedonian language in a form that it's today. The Ancient Macedonians spoke some "barbarian" language,and they were considered as uncivilized people by the GREEK people. Since Alexander conquer Greece and found their culture and democratic system more "popular" plus he was advised by his teacher (Aristotel-greek) not to destroy BUT to embrace their culture.That's why the period, when he spread the GREEK CULTURE is called Hellenistic I'm very objective regarding the truth

Comparing Alexander and the language he spoke makes non-sense. Austrians don't have their own Asutrian language..they speak german...but they are Austrians and NOT GERMANS !!! Axaxaxa nice jokes!! Please tell me, if there was Macedonian Language and was the mother tongue of Alexander why he spread to Asia the Greek Language and not Macedonian language?? Why he spread to Asia all the Greek Civilization and not Macedonian Civilization?? Why the period after Alexande's death called Hellenistic era and not Macedonistic??
