Hey Taylor, the brightness issue might fix itself once you get that Harness in there. I did mine with Ziza's version of those lights(which i wouldn't ever recommend to anyone as the reverse light kept blowing out every two or 3 months) but the harness Syncs everything together and the amber runs all the way through so I'd imagine any settings would do the same thing. Let me know if that works out.

Hey man. Great videos on your Golf R. I also have a mk7 R and want to purchase a set of the LED tails. Are the set that you purchased the regular cherry colored, or dark cherry/tinted? It's hard to tell in the video. Thanks!

I turned mine down to 8 as well. It's still obvious even in daytime that they're on. Get a harness from wherever (mine was from DAP) and do a video on how stupid easy it is to wire up a car and get those amber's working. If you could do a video of what the different settings do on the OBD Eleven's "ECS off permanently" app?

Maybe it is just me, but I do not understand at all why anyone cares about LED tail lights. The difference is negligible IMO, if you are so worried about its looks, you wouldn't buy a Golf in the first place. Plus when the light has a problem on the standard unit we are talking about a two dollar bulb, where as on the LED, $500? You boys are crazy, spending that kind of money for a slightly different looking rear tali light. Just think about that for a moment. I guess if it makes you happy, but I am just shaking my head. Oh and the reason we don't have this and a few other little bits they have in Europe is due to price. Look at what they charge in EURO's if you convert it, this is like over $52,000 USD, so yea they are looking for ways to cut cost as much as possible. Keep in mind the GTI's are all out of Mexico whereas the GOLF R is still from Germany so...

The same reason why people do any cosmetic mods to their car, because they like the way it looks. The euro LED's look way better than the garbage US spec ones we got, to me it was well worth it.
