Just saying but ash didn’t put the gun down. They wouldn’t just go and tackle him down when he has a whole arsenal in there. Plus this is the swat, they’re more serious in their operation and would take no consideration when it comes to an uncontrollable child with a gun

Same even if they didnt make such a big of the deal about lexi and rue relationship I feel like for lexi was a big thing..like lose her friend! But ended up being a real and genuine reconciliation!!!

Lexi allowed Rue to read the play beforehand, I think it was in some episode, but the part where she said 'seeing it meant the world to me' could've been 'reading it meant the world to me'

I feel like Ashtray did it because he was how happy he was with Lexi and he knew Fez would take the fall for him. But now all those cops witnesses what Ashtray did and Fez might get a second chance.

I took it more so as Ash was abandoned as a baby, and he was never able to heal from that trauma. Fez and his grandma, but mostly Fez, is the only real love he’s ever known. Ash was more afraid of having to navigate the world alone than he was to die.

When Lexi said the play was about friendship I get it now. Because she GAINED Maddy as a friend when she moved in, she LOST Rue when her dad died and Lexi’s dad left and lost herself when she didn’t know how to deal with her trauma and pain outwardly. Her centring on Rue’s dads death and how it affected Rue placed side by side with how losing her father and best friend to addiction hurt her is so important to me because I believe that’s why Rue wasn’t mad at her, she saw that someone loves her. That someone remembers how kind and sarcastic and caring she can be. That someone remembers she’s more than her addiction and that Lexi isn’t claiming her trauma is larger than Rues but that they both experienced some shit as kids and it affected them differently. Another reason to me that Rue wasn’t so pissed was because she saw it was a love letter to THEM (Rexi). It wasn’t Lexi saying her trauma is bigger than Rue’s, it wasn’t her comparing their pain, it was her saying “we’re just kids, we went through a lot but this girl has been with me through a lot of it. she’s not a bad person she’s not her mistakes. these girls are not their mistakes. Maddy is not just a ‘bad bitch’ she’s also kind. she might not be nice but she’s kind.” Introverted Rue found drugs and shy Lexi became timid, they lost themselves and by extension their friendship but they are starting to grow back together as friends. Rue also realizes that her friend carries a lot on the inside and keeps it bottled up so she gets no reassurance or someone willing to listen so Rue applying her knowledge of addiction and an addict’s mindset to explain where Lexi’s dad probably is mentally was what she needed. Season 1x01 and 1x06 and season 2x7 and 2x8 highlight how they can be each other’s support because they know each other’s trauma and they’ve seen the part of themselves that they hide from everyone else. Lexi is hiding how painful and sad and angry she is about her father and possibly about how she has to be the parent in her home, about how she is second fiddle to her older sister meanwhile you also have Rue who is now only starting to deal with the actual grief that never left regarding her dad and how she lost him and anger at the fact that she’ll never get to learn life from him. They might be the only person in the other’s life who truly get each other especially considering how Rue is naturally just someone more introverted so she can understand why Lexi would keep some shit to herself and I found that beautiful. Cassie is just so used to being treated with kid gloves and as a victim and the fact that a man got angry and broke up with her, she saw herself as the victim once again, as if Lexi was saying she doesn’t love her sister, which is not true as we saw. She could’ve put Cassie cheating on McKay, she could’ve put the Cassie-Nate debacle in the play, she only put things that highlight their trauma and how it’s shaped them and how it’s shaped her. Maddy losing it because she reached a breaking point when her ex best friend tried to screw over her other friend. she said “I’m gonna be calm and I’m gonna try and talk things through and I’m gonna cut Cassie off because she doesn’t wanna be open and honest with me” and when she sees Cassie ruin her friends play it’s “time to whoop this bitch”. Maddy Euphoria big three for a reason. Lexi and Rue still loving each other after all of this and Rue being one of the few people who was ‘in’ the play actually loved it is something so pleasing to me. everyone has always taken from Lexi (Rue included) it’s so nice to see RUE step up and be a real friend to LEXI. I could write a whole dissertation on the juxtaposition between the Maddy/Cassie friendship versus the Lexi/Rue friendship because we started season one and two believing Maddy and Cassie were best friends and them being very close and we thought Cassie always had Maddys back (till 2x1) and vice versa while on the other hand Rue and Lexi during season one were on shaky ground, they didn’t really have a lot of meaningful interactions (I can only think of the Halloween conversation and Lexi telling one of their classmates they’re being rude when they ran Rue off the stage in episode and following Rue, gathering the confidence to speak like that and leave to make sure Rue is okay.) and Lexi was either used for her pee or in one of the few sober instances only remembered then by her childhood best friend and even during their hanging out in that season Jules was involved, they didn’t have much of a friendship and us ending season two with them being friends, with them being open with each other about their trauma because I am sure Rue hasn’t spoken to a lot of people about hers and I don’t think she ever spoke to Jules about it in depth while she had this really deep conversation with Lexi and we get to see Lexi have somebody who wants to listen to her and not judge her for saying she was kind of relieved when her dad didn’t come back at first and now is sad. we have them having this deep conversation and we have them as what I believe, best friends again. as one of the few people who understands the other and that’s because Lexi did not compare pain. They end the note as best friends meanwhile the other two end as not even enemies, as just Cassie who hurt Maddy and I think that’s worse than enemies. Based off of this whole dissertation can you tell that Rue and Lexi on my favourites? Like my Euphoria BIG 3 are Lexi, Rue and Maddy and honestly? this was kind of their season, I mean character development wise. Also, sober Rue??? I love it. that’s my sister. I’m gonna stand by her. In all honesty this season was mid except when we were focusing on Zendaya because at the end of the day it’s Rue’s story and that’s where Sam shines because he relates to that but it is definitely not the worst season of a show I’ve watched. (I watch The Flash i know hell.) the acting that my sisters Zendaya AND Maude were giving because I saw a lot of people saying Zendaya was carrying Maude but she was giving subtlety. like we wanna put her against the explosive anger that Cassie or Maddy have and that’s not her. we want to put her against Rue who is obviously going to be more emotional because she’s sharing how she doesn’t know how she’s gonna do sobriety for the rest of her life, she doesn’t have an outlet, her addiction was hard, relating it to someone else and the fact that her dad is really gone and no drug is ever gonna be able to hide that pain from her anymore. Lexi was just more subtle in her emotions and instead cried because when you finally get to open up after so long and have someone willing to listen, sometimes you don’t even have the words for it so they were definitely giving favourite relationship this season they were definitely giving favourites scene in this episode Thank you for going on this wild eight week journey with us. I’ll see you in 2024 for Euphoria season three

I’ve been seeing a lot of comments on how some are annoyed by showing the funeral scene too often and it’s not important, but I’m glad you guys acknowledge every characters feelings. Because they show a lot of it (in my opinion) because it’s a deep dive into rues brain and everyone that has experienced death knows it’s something that just doesn’t go away. it’s real.

Yes we notice that scene is in almost every episode and we’re ok with that. It gives us the same feeling every time. And it’s just the reality of it, the memory will always be there.

at the end there I don't think it was a future thing in the play, but it was actually before, Lexi probably gave the script for rue to read so she called her, then lexi added that part to be the end

That girl that was in the bathroom with them is BB. she's like a side-side character. You only ever see her for a few seconds throughout some episodes and has some one liners. We need more Bobbi (Lexis assistant) in season 3. She looks like she has alot of layers to add to the show.

i have a theory that they raided laurie right after fez and ash since faye exposed who she is and where she lives because rue says “i stayed clean for the rest of the school year” meaning that laurie hadn’t come for her at all even after saying the suitcase money was due in a month so maybe when they raided her they found the drugs she’s had and she’s in jail.

The song that Dominic (Elliott) sings, Little Star, was written by Zendaya and Labrinth☺ I'm sad that Ash is dead, especially; because it's going to be devasting for Fez😣 I wasn't a Maddy fan in Season 1, but she didn't grow on me in Season 2. Cassie🤨.. NEXT. Nate🤬🤬🤬 I like how the show mirrored Rue's speech with what Fez was feeling in that moment with what happened to Ash. I also loved that Rue chose to put herself and her sobriety first. They both need to work on themself before they even attempt to get back together. I loved season 2, but I'm sad😭 we have to wait until 2024 before season 3.

IDK BUT LEXI WAS WRONG FOR INCLUDING THAT SCENE WITH CASSIE IN THE CAROUSEL🙄 like imma snap too if one of my most hummiliating moment is presented in a whole fricken crowd.

actually, maddy is one of my favs this season. you can see that she didn't went to cassie before bc she valued their friendship so much and she wouldn't hurt someone she likes. but when she came for cassie was in part to defend lexi, and then we can see how much she valued other people around her even tho those relationships weren't so deep like her's and Cassie's. BUT with the bathroom scene, she just address something to cassie and leaves. she knows that Cassie's relationship with nate will be messy, she's been through it. but she can't sustain a friendship alone and cassie, right now, isn't seeing what she needs to see in order to get out of this situation just yet, unfortunately. so to me this scene is Maddy actually walking away from something that would be REALLY bad for her, she's walking away from nate even tho this means also walking away from someone so important, living by herself with the ones that will be there for her (she's been doing this the entire season and she needed it, i loved it) and she sees that, even tho her and Cassie's friendship were important, taking care of herself and not putting herself in this mess to someone who doesn't deserve it is the right thing for her. i just love it so much qjdkkdd

I think Jules and Nate are gone end up cool. I hate that the next season is soooo far away. I want Rue and Jules to be done forever and I think Faye is helping Rue even though she wasn’t trying to cause she brought up Laurie and that she is a drug dealer and she mentioned where she lives.

My theory is that they just don't like Elliot for some dumbass reason, so they lose all their objectivity, which is such a common thing for people. We are still such apes it's ridiculous. Part of me actually hopes that the imminent WW3 ends up in a nuclear conflict that reboots the civilization. I know, it's a shitty thing to say. But that's just how I feel sometimes.

Even though Cassie is the one who did all of those things, that doesn’t make it okay for Lexi to put it all in a play for the entire school to embarrass her. Yes Cassie embarrassed herself, and all of those times….she was aware of what she did, but since her own mother never taught her how to act and to own up to her wrongdoings (parents are supposed to teach their kids right from wrong) Obviously it’s hard for Cassie to better herself. The whole school doesn’t need to know Cassie’s or anyone in the play’s “dirty laundry.” Plus, Lexi could’ve literally staged an intervention with just the two of them, or tried to get Suze involved but in a way that wouldn’t shame, and attack Cassie. She was in fact trying to humiliate, and make fun of Cassie and as much as Cassie needed to hear the truth, and know that she was wrong what what she did (although Nate was wrong to, since Cassie was McKay’s ex, and Nate fucked her and nobody seems to go after him for his role in that) considering what she went through in Season 1…I won’t be surprised if in Season 3, Cassie gets heavily bullied, has no friends, and does in fact try to take her life, which could finally lead to her getting some help. Yes she was wrong for what she did….but that’s not an excuse to bully and humiliate her like that. I’m sure any girls who’ve gone through similar moments in their lives (obviously not as dramatic since Euphoria is a show) would almost agree….they did embarrassing things, they were aware of them, and if they got humiliated and made fun of by other people for it….they weren’t happy about it, because they had nobody to turn to for help.

I didn’t like the finale when I saw it, but this reaction actually made me like it!!

I'm pretty sure Nate and Cassie are going to get back together, because look how many times Nate and Maddie got back together, that's why Maddie told Cassie that this wasn't the end. Nate's probably just going to make Cassie be all in her feelings for a hot minute to scare her, and mess with Lexi or Ethan for him and THEN he'll get back with her. People say Nate's going to beat Lexi or Ethan but I wouldn't be surprised if he had Cassie do his dirty work by manipulating her into it, he already has pretty much isolated her from her friends and family but he's definitely into controlling her as we've seen before, and she basically volunteered herself for that which is why I doubt Nate's going to give that up. He likes that control and he's naturally possessive in relationships so the break up isn't going to last that long in my opinion 🍷👀

I'm glad it ended like it did because I would've been too anxious if Laurie suddenly got to Rue right b4 the season ended and have to wait until 2024 to see what happens

I just don’t feel like this plate was right It was so fucked up , Lexi did to much with the carnaval scene she wasn’t being a good sister at all ,Cassie messed up for real but humiliating her like that was so disgusting, I don’t care about y’all think it was wrong...

Cassie looks at herself and was embarrassed there was nothing about Nate and her even in the play and she felt embarrassed (besides the pony scene that was kinda just uncalled for) anyways rue did embarrassing stuff too Lexi even said she would question if there even friends when people would ask but as you see rue loved herself seeing her flaws and she outshined them Cassie is embarrassed cause she knows she it’s the truth she just doesn’t liked being called out rue she knows everything in there is true do you see her ruining her play like fez said some people need to get their feelings hurt

still not over ash and fez’s ending why did the they give the 2 of fav characters the worst ending but gave nate a good ending ash is a child he didn’t know what he was do7ng he thought he would die for fez he didn’t want to live without fez cuz ash would have no one if fez left that’s his family

I think it’s interesting that the play is called “Our Life” and ends on Rue and Lexi together. Being that a lot of the play was memories heavily focused on both Rue and Lexi’s lives (more so than any of the other kids) and how they run parallel to one another but in different ways. To me it seems like the play was very intentional on Lexi’s part in being about both Lexi AND Rue. The play was a way to show people themselves through Lexi’s eyes but most importantly to show Rue how Lexi sees her and how vital a role Rue has played in Lexi’s life. If you think about it, it’s kind of a love letter to Rue and their friendship. And that’s driven home even more by the fact that Rue just..gets it. Throughout the entire production, she totally understood what Lexi was doing and was touched and moved by it and so proud of her friend and grateful to her friend for showing Rue herself through a perspective of love and grace and understanding instead of expectation and judgment when those expectations weren’t met. It was a story of THEIR life.. and beautiful, just like Rue said.

Jules and rue are a good couple but they aren’t good for each other rue thought of her as a drug and Jules thought of her as a break from men and trying to dominate them she kissing her goodbye cause she wants better for her and did you notice how rue was tired in like the third ep you see see her crying on labrith as he sing “hey lord you know I’m tired” and now she’s actually trying to get better she was tired of it now she trying so she says “hey lord you know I’m trying”

there's nothing funny about the carousel scene, it was literally one of Cassie's worst nights, Lexi shouldn't have put that in the play
