Really enjoyed this, Eugenius. A few years after the brand launched in 2000 (I was a teenager) my dad bought my mum a bottle of Lys Med. I remember seeing the bottle and thinking the brand was called Edouard Flechier. It was only until I really started getting into fragrances in my early twenties that I realised the brand was actually Frederic Malle! Shout out to Freddie. Great concept.

Geranium Pour Monsieur is really a fantastic scent. The bittersweet effect created by the mint and spices is what makes this so special. Can't wait to get a bottle of it sometime soon.

I have both Geranium pour Monsieur and Lys Med and love them both in the spring usually Geranium early on and Lys in late spring early Summer, Great review as usual Eugene 😀

I’ve been obsessed with Geranium Pour Monsieur recently as well. Took me a while to realize it’s the mint fragrance that I’ve always been looking for. I think Angelique might be my next Malle... reminds me most of Voyage, but more delicate. I wouldn’t mind owning a bottle of Vetiver Ext. either, but I haven’t had a strong enough urge to pull the trigger yet. Hooray for Malle month.

I was one of the commenters mentioning barbershop fougeres from Malle. I also mentioned leather chypres, and as per this video it sounds like they both already exist in the line lol, in Geranium PM and PdT respectively. GPM seemed too one note minty on my skin but I have a sample so I'll give it another try. PdT I've not tried at all but am very intrigued based on your description. Loving all these Malle videos!

SOTD: Grey Vetiver on a wet spring day. Cannot wait to try Vetiver Extraordinare and Geranium Pour Monsieur. Just sampled Lys and it’s GORGEOUS. As is POAL.

Nailed it with VetiverX. Already had a couple of wearings this year. Decent layering with Bigarade Concentree too. Geranium was always one of my favourites on paper. Not as minty when it hits the skin though.

Just picked up En Passant. Cologne Indelebile is also an easy beautiful spring/summer grab

Like starting off the day with a blast of minty freshness nothing like this in my collection nice add.

I was waiting to hear Une Fleur de Cassie but maybe you didn't want to mention it since you've talked about it in other videos. I just ordered a 10ml of it since I'm not sure I could ever get through a bottle (and there's a nice free 7ml sample promotion on right now). I agree with the love for Geranium, I also love En Passant for it's photo realistic naturalness. Eau de Magnolia is also great and I think underrated. I found it a bit blah the first time I tried it but after owning it really has a lot of lasting power (but remains sheer) and a lot of depth, I get bright citrusy facets with an undertone of wood and spice that keeps it interesting all day.

Vetiver Extraordinaire is an all year-rounder, as well as the best Malle, in my opinion.

I agree. Great signature scent. I didn't appreciate this one at first, but coming back to it after smelling other niche I really fell for it. Definitely getting a bottle. I'm starting to appreciate Malle more because they are unique but actually wearable.

Love the streams as well, watched the stream earlier today. He said he is working with Jean-Claude, Carlos, Dominique and Maurice on some things (potential future fragrances, since not everything gets released if not good enough). Sounds pretty good to me

Geranium pour monsieur is a beautiful bracing scent. I dont normally bitch to much about longevity, but GPM vanishes very quick on me unfortunately which made me think twice about buying it. Dries van Noten is my next purchase 👌

If you haven’t already you’ve got to read the only review of La Parfum De Therese on basenotes by Zealot Crusader. Edmond tried to sell the perfume multiple times but it was to “futuristic”. It was the first Malle I smelled and maybe my favorite. Another posthumous Roudnitska release would be my one wish from Frederic Malle.

I loved Geranium Pour Monsieur the first time I smelled it. The sales assistant said it was Monsieur Malle's personal scent, but I don't know if that's true. Cheers, Eugen!

Very nice list..if you get a chance try israa and miraj by Stephan humbert lucas,since putting my nose on it I haven’t reached for my Frederic Malle musk R,,,it makes MR smells childish and unfinished,it used to be my all the time favourite though,I guess not anymore.

Geranium pour monsieur is a favourite of mine and I’ve run out . Must get a new bottle. I have the vetiver but it has a rubbery note that bugs me.

I get a huge dentist room/chemical zingy toothpaste vibe from Geranium pour Monsieur. Interesting fragrance nonetheless!

Smelt Geranium and like it but I have Czech&Speake No 88 which is Rose and Geranium and has similar vibe without the mint.

Would you compare vetiver extraordinaire to gray vetiver?

Green earthy soft spring fragrance for me has been Caron pour un homme sport. It’s great and not sporty at all

i just saw this video from the Originaldogman Jon Castro. The douchery is STRONG in that one. Haters hate. That is all they know how to do. Seemed like a fascination with your bedroom prowess as well.

The Azzaro Wild Mint has been getting raved by a handful of reviewers what is you thought on it?

To my nose, Parfum de Therese smells like a more wearable version of Breath of God by Lush. Something about the fruity melon note contrasted by the darker earthy notes in the base.
