Thank you for the information with mine when the sun is out it stop showing that is charging when the sun go down it show its charging battery flashing .

Make sure the camera is set to work of solar power in the settings and then as long as it keeps topping up it’s working. I find sometimes the app doesn’t show charging (could be a bug in the app) but the percentage is maintained at 100%.

Diffence can be how clean the power is also.

Have connected the Eufy solar panel and it appears to be working quite well putting around 8% charge in a slightly over cast day. But one thing that I have noticed , even two hours after sun down the app is showing the solar panel as still charging , is this a normal thing for solar panels ? .

It’s probably a bug in the app, eufy officially suggest changing the power method to solar panel on the settings, it won’t then show the charging icon but will manage the charge/battery better.

Was thinking about buying a solar panel, although my flat only gets the sun early in the morning.

You need a good 8 hours per day if you’re going to charge the camera back up (depending on usage) as anything less will usually result in it maintaining charge but not topping up any.

What solar panels do you use that are compatible with eufy security as I have two cameras and my front camera needs to get charged pretty soon.

Does the solar panel need to be connected to the camera through usb cables and if so is there any way to have it connected wirelessly so I don’t need to buy 2 solar panels.

The solar panel connects via the micro usb charging port. I use a generic one that causes issues with the camera where it randomly stops responding and I use 1 genuine eufy solar panel just charges slower but manages to keep my camera always around 80% with heavy usage and I’ve not had any issues with it since I finally got one that worked. As long as the camera is reviving atleast 3w of charge it will trickle charge the camera.

any suggestions on how to keep my pro C cams charging on solar,, I've tried 2 different types an after day or so they stop charging completely, I've returned thinking defective, then the new ones do the exact same thing, batt set to solar, batt charge starts at %99+ then continues to drop even on less used cams,, any ideas greatly appreciated..

I’ve found leaving it on battery mode is sometimes better, also main reason for not charging is either the location of the solar panel not allowing enough charge or the connector not seating correctly and thus failing to provide a charge.

@@MATechKZread thx for the reply, panels are in sun most of the day at all times, have tried the leaving on Batt setting, no charge, have tried unplugging, re-plugging etc, no change, even tried using a power bank to check connection an works, plug solar back in nothing, think its smtg with the cams not liking the panels on all 6 cams,, even tried uninstalling cams an reinstalling to system, nothing I've found works.. very disappointing.. any thing else you can suggest by chance? much appreciated.

After issues with my first one I have since purchased some and had no issues with them, as long as they’re getting enough sunlight they’ll keep most cameras at 100% most of the time.

I do not think anker made the solar panels
