@@lazarmiladinovic3840 As others noted, 1.30.2 hotfix patch somewhat fixed the Austrian exploit. It's so blatantly overpowered sometimes the AI Austria revoked

Trying to prevent this is what started WWI.

@@alexanderzack3720 I felt feel that WWI had multiple causes. One was a petty squabble over military size. The other was Franz Ferdinand should've been ushered to safety immediately after the first assassination attempt. The third was European countries were itching for a fight due to stupid nationalism. These are all stupid and unnecessary. And so the stupid war happened and set the stage for the Holocaust.

I have a perfectly balanced exploit for that. You can put a small amount of epoxy on the bottom of the mug, perfectly making it perfectly unbalanced. Balanced.

Spiffing, lovely work as always. If you're interested, there are some tea-riffic things that can be done with Burgundy due to this update and DLC, it's not as easy as Austria, but the Oolong-shot RNG of the events makes an overpowered Burgundy extremely satisfying.

"austrian wasteland", slightly triggered me as an austrian wastelander. 10/10 would watch again

A few tips after finishing my Austria run: 1. From what I can tell this is not entirely fixed in the current patch, but the exploit of having Italy leave the HRE and then rejoin does not seem to work anymore. (Countries will probably not rejoin the empire after leaving it) 2. Accepting the royal marriages from the vassalized HRE princes isn't bad as they don't take up any diplomatic relations slots and it stops them from spamming. 3. After you revoke you want to vassalize anyone bordering the HRE. Vassals will basically always add themselves to the empire therefore they become just another HRE vassal. 4. You don't want to release nations after revoking. It is better to take the province yourself and then release the nation. Through this method the released nation will be released as your vassal and will try to join the HRE. 5. It is better to have many small vassals than a few big ones, because all nations get a base amount of income and manpower irrelevant of their size. 6. The HRE can not encompass the entire world (sadly). Only provinces in Europe can be added to the empire, but you can give land outside of Europe to your vassals so that once you form the HRE you will gain free cores on everything. 7. After you revoke you can you through your vassal screen and select transfer trade power for all of your vassals. This will give you complete control of all of the trade in the HRE and will make you a absurd amount of money if you use it correctly. 8. Something Spiffing didn't really explain in the video is that the reason none of your vassals want to rebel is, because HRE revoke vassals are special in the fact that they only compare their strength to yours and not the total strength of all vassals compared to yours. (this is similar to Personal Unions)

It's a bit annoying that every time Spiff makes a video, the devs go out of their way to watch it, rush out a hotfix and either say nothing about it, or down right ruin everything and state it in the patch notes. Now for Paradox, it's totally cool. They allow us to revert to older versions of the game for either mod support, nostalgia or just finishing off a campaign, which can take a really long time, if you micromanage every single day of the 376 years of the game like Arumba, Thank God he went on to Hearthstone.. Still recommended to play on the latest patch. But this time, i'm slightly annoyed, because you can't go back to 1.30.1 with the hot mess of steaming pitch covered burning domesticated pig (the perfect counter to war elephants by the way) and have a bit of fun, because to be honest, I'm still waiting for a 4th hotfix to make the game actually fun to play not just playable. But yeah, a lot of players would prefer to have access to multiple versions of games. I respect the work that goes into making a new fix, and even finding the bugs in the first place, but i'd prefer a more...liberal access to what i can do in a video game, the so far, ultimate interactive multimedia experience.

It wasn't ruined it was balanced it is still easy to revoke the priveliga by around 1550 which is way more reasonable than the 1470s

@@abdullahaldulaimi806 no it only took 100 years extra to form the HRE and you still got the crazy PUs on all of Europe with the old mission system / special events. back in 1.21 you could revoke in 1550-1600 pretty easily with almost guaranteed PUs on Spain, Poland , Hungary and Bohemia, plus whoever you picked up with RNG. Really not that far off from the current HRE just a different path there.

this actually used to be a world conquest strat way back when the HRE was still playable it's nice to see this again.

I just finished one of these Austria runs today, revoking in 1505 (kinda slow). Such fun.

My tea cupboards are well stocked. We use our wetbar for our tea supply and tea accessories and literally nothing else. Personal favorite right now: A bamboo lemongrass herbal tea mix. Quite fantastic on its own and delightful with some type of tea cake to go with.

I remember doing something similar in EU 3. There is nothing like having a vassal swarm take down a big country.

The favourite part of my last Austria game was definitely passing a reform then "losing" the shadow kingdom event a few months later, which didn't matter because I'd just passed a reform and was already at 0 Imperial Authority. To then reinviting all the Italians back into the HRE which then gave me enough Imperial Authority to instantly pass another 2 reforms. It was hilarious

This is a perfect demonstration of the holy roman empire at the time. Its honestly flawless
