    Incredible content! I truly hope you can make a name for yourself in the EU4 community - the quality, style and accuracy of your guides is astonishing and, frankly, something I've never found on youtube before. Also thanks for taking my suggestion on doing a Korea run! I knew the tag was pretty great this last patch but watching someone with your kind of expertise give it a go is really entertaining and informative to watch!

    Great video. I personally play Korea fairly often, and nowadays, the 'meta' so to speak is to immediately go for Ming's throat after they get their first bad mandate hit and lose their manpower, around tech 5 or 6. Going court first helps stabilize your mandate immensely after you take the emperorship early like this. Anyway, next run I'd suggest is Aragon. You can become a peasant republic and get a 30 year old 5/6/4 godlike ruler right off the bat. I'm playing peasant Aragon right now and it's a ton of fun. You can play super aggresively and just destroy Castile and Portugal.

    I know this is a few months late but the triptikata fort is basically a second capital fort is how I’ve seen it act, as for the AI getting it on the capital an enemy has to enter Korea and (I think) be a province or two away from it, which gives you a decision to move it to your capital which makes it a +2 fort without a castle and +4 fort with one

    21:00 Attacking Ming's tributaries (e.g. Korchin) immediately after a ~100% war with Ming itself can be a good idea to shorten the time of the truce - Ming will not fight and will immediately agree to withdraw from the war with the tributary. Thus it becomes possible to declare a new full-fledged war in five years, and you can even manage to go through several wars with it before it collapses on its own.

  • @StrategySphere

    @StrategySphere

    This makes sense and definitely works with Korea - I didn’t bother as I didn’t really need to. Ming was collapsing way too fast.

    If I were to suggest some tags for future videos I would say Poland and/or the Easter egg nations which are only playable via console commands. The latter include Jan Mayen and the Synthetics. Both have the Invasion modifier which gives you free Imperialism CB from day 1, +100 forcelimit, and 1million manpower +100k sailors at the start along with other stuff, you can't do diplomacy at all though. As Jan Mayen, you spawn with 3 neighboring colonized provinces but are the wrong religion and wrong culture group for basically everyone. As Synthetics, you get very cheap armies and provinces are automatically annexed/cored after sieging them. The problem is that you start with +50%fire damage received and all provinces you take have 3 dev. You do start with a large tag and all of its dev though.

    One way to get to war with the Daimyos without involving the Shogun is to enforce peace, to do that, just improve relations up to 100 with the person whose side you are joining on by enforcing it on the other side of the conflict, I was able to do this in Japan in my Korea game, and Ashikaga got so close to forming Japan, then right before he could annex Uesugi, who held the Musashi that was all he needed to form Japan, I declared war on him to take it, and since I had 2 mil techs on him, and I had a Korea that basically had all of Manchuria at this point as well, I smashed him, and then took it, and I would have taken more but truce with Ming was almost up, so I just took the province and some money and peaced out, just to get to war with Ming, it was an easy war as Ming had low mandate, but yeah, you can prevent Japan from forming, also it can get you Shinto provinces to harmonize with sooner, so you get the infantry combat bonus sooner as well. Anyway, great content, keep up the great work, I have seen all your videos (except your first 3 videos), and they have been great, found you with the triple the rome achievement and have never subscribed and set the bell to notify me of all new videos faster, keep up the awesome work.
