That prodding doesn't look like it would cause those injuries. These migrants should apply for asylum at adjacent borders, namely the 'Stans, Pakistan and Iran. Other countries, including Croatia, do not have an obligation to accept them as asylum seekers. They're breaking the law when they try to sneak across the border and madden the police by repeatedly doing so. These people can apply for visas at legal ports of entry any time they want. Defying the police, repeatedly, is a really bad idea in any country

What is wrong with them seeking asylum in Croatia? Croatia has an obligation to process any asylum seekers and give them a proper hearing to their case as to determine their deservedness for asylum. It is illegal for Croatia or Greece to use non-identifiable border police to brutally beat refugees. Refugees are not restricted to solely border states of the place they are fleeing from. They have as much of a human right to live in peace and prosperity in the EU as much as any Greek or Croatian did during the 2008 financial crisis in which 10s of thousands of young men in these countries fled their perfectly peaceful countries to work and live in places like Germany, UK, and France. The only difference between a Greek in 2008 and an Afghan in 2021 is that the Greek was in a far better position and had even less of reason to leave his country as seek a better financial situation in Germany despite the ability to go to other neighboring countries such as Albania, North Macedonia, Bulgaria, etc.

@@youraverageimperialguard7932 Once these immigrants reached a safe country, they were no longer asylum seekers, mission accomplished. Continuing on to other countries marked them as economic migrants. There's a right way of going about seeking asylum or applying for a work visa. Sneaking across the border is the wrong way.

This is why you can not board a flight or a ship without a valid passport, and a valid visa to the country of destination. It is also illegal to enter a country from other than a country port of entry, whether it is by land sea or air. The country sovereignty laws and constitution the public safety and security supersedes any United Nation alleged human rights. Every country has their right to defend their borders and it's country from illegal crossings from people they don't know who they are and what they want to do in said country. Anyone who can't understand this would you want to invite a stranger to your apartment/house and let them stay there? No, I didn't think so why is this any different? And besides Greece does already their part in assisting those people, also approving many hundreds of visas for people with good intention to stay there if they choose that. Get all your facts straight! No country will ever accept illegal crossing into their borders without proper control and a asylum system. The real issue here is from where those people are fleeing from, countries like the USA and EU should gather resources and help those people in their home countries so they don't have to flee that's how you truly help in this situation.
