Etsy is Hard ❌ Watch This if You Want to Quit

The reality of Etsy isn’t as glamorous and easy as some people paint it. It’s tough. It takes time. & sometimes just realising that helps to take a step forward.
When you expect things to go super easy, the reality hits like a bag of bricks. When you know that you will need time to figure out SEO, listing designs, product descriptions AND also to find the bestseller product, I think it’s easier to keep going.
I had a bestseller item once, I’ll do it again. I just need to keep moving forward.
Most people quit when they realise that things aren’t as easy as they seem from some KZread videos. Don’t be most people.
Anyways, how are you feeling? And what are you up to? Share in the comments because it’s always easier to keep going with SUPPORT ❤️

    Thank you so much! Yes, its still a business, you may get lucky and find a crazy product. E.g. Lightroom presets were insane a couple of years back. I’m sute there’s something else super profitable now as well just need to find it at the right time. Best of luck on your business!

    is print on demand counted as physical or digital product ? do you have any video about pricing digital planners ?

  • @RealisticPlanner

    @RealisticPlanner

    Print on demand I’d count as a physical product because that’s what the client gets:) also, you’ll have more expenses because of it. So then once you pay taxes, it will be important to choose the tax paying method where you deduct your expenses instead of claiming 30%

    @@hanamuhammad4531 I've made a blog post about taxes and approximate amounts. It is going to be different depending on the country and it's only an estimate but I think it can help you have a better idea of what to expect:) realisticplanner.com/etsy-is-not-easy/ Also, I'll create the pricing video this week also ;)

    how. long have you been selling though? Sorry but SEO quality pics and other things aree so imoportant your experience will not be eveyones,, i have watched sellers go from 0 - 1000sales so quick while other have not. its not get rich quick either most people do not make money for the first 6 months to a year - it takes money to make money. mindset lady! wish you the best

    Hey!:) I am not saying that my experience is everyones. That’s honestly the opposite of what this video is about. All I am saying is that maybe its not gonna happen to everyone as quickly as they will expect but that they should still keep going. Basically, what I wanted to say with this video is that it MAY not be easy and that shouldn’t make you quit. I’ve had my first shop for the last two years and made 10k out of it. My second shop is only three months old. But I’ve been working in marketing with Facebook and Google ads for the past 7 years so I can definitely compare what it’s like there:) And I agree with you, its not a get rich quick thing but some people make it LOOK like that. And then most people quit because they don’t think they can make it. I think its important to see people who aren’t going from 1 sale to 1000 in a couple of days because then you will have a more realistic view on things AND it will help people to stay in the game even if its not as easy as it may seem:)
