Etna Volcano June 2024 - Early Eruptive Activity
In June 2024, I explored the largest active volcano in Europe, Mount Etna, and the area surrounding it. At the time, its Voragine crater was producing small Strombolian-style explosions and spattering. After climbing to the summit area and seeing it with my own eyes, I flew my drone over all four of the summit craters, and then put it close to the erupting vent within Voragine.

And these are just the summit craters. Hundreds of smaller ones on its lower slopes!

Just a DJI Mini 2, quite impressive indeed for such a small drone!

We were there back on June 17 so everyone is fine.
