I work as a co pilot on united, i work on the 787-10 and this is amazing

Which contrails was he talking about at 15:00. The only contrails I know of is the one that comes from behind the engine of the aircraft at high altitudes

I didnt understand the part about contrail aviodance. Why is it important and how is it messured? Are these caused by certain cloud types? Also I noticed on a 787-9 flight the information "SURF" in amber color on the Nav Display and PFD. What does SURF stand for? Surface?

An intimate view of the departure procedure of any modern aircraft is astonishing. It is delightful to see a competent female second officer make the whole process look easy. I would like to fly with her in command of any future trip anywhere in the world. Would have loved to sit in the third cockpit seat on this trip given little of any opportunity to fly internationally in the past two years.

The exhaust of aircraft leave air vortices so turbulence can flip or disturb the plane behind or beside it.

V1 at 171kt...this dreamliner had to be fully loaded :o

Crew likely used an improved climb performace takeoff with flap 5 hence the high takeoff speeds. High V1 doesn't mean high weight. Given they climbed straight to 37 000ft, this aircraft was light.

@@lukamakhviladze5992 Contrails are basically descending „turbulence“, so they avoid it to make the flight smoother. They are pretty nasty, Sometimes more than normal turbulence

The problem with flight simulators is that now every random douche believes they can tell actual pilots how to do their jobs.

I've always wondered why right after V1 voice one of the pilots tells the other pilot ROTATE. I am pretty sure all these professional pilots know that.

That's because 'Rotate' is the command which means to 'pull the stick or yoke' or to pitch up in simple terms as you run down the runway and achieve the proper speed to, well, lift-off.

The pilot monitoring tells the pilot flying to start rotating, pitch the aircraft nose up for liftoff.

You can't communicate well with a mask on. It's not necessary in the cockpit. Radio talking too.

787-10 is a big aircraft and it depends on how lightly loaded it is, how long the runway is etc. Usually longer the runway, lighter the load, higher is the V1.

I think when issues happen cabin crew look for people who have a ppl or experience on that specific aircraft type

Contrail avoidance. I see. Bio fuel. Reducing CO 2 emmissions. Good. Save the planet. In the same time there are 4,500 busses cruising trough Mumbai blowing the 1000 time amount of carbon dioxide into the air. Well done Etihad & Boeing. 👍
