About Airbus A320 (from Wikipedia):
The Airbus A320 family is a series of narrow-body airliners developed and produced by Airbus. The A320 was launched in March 1984, first flew on 22 February 1987, and was introduced in April 1988 by Air France. The first member of the family was followed by the longer A321 (first delivered in January 1994), the shorter A319 (April 1996), and the even shorter A318 (July 2003). Final assembly takes place in Toulouse in France; Hamburg in Germany; Tianjin in China since 2009; and Mobile, Alabama in the United States since April 2016. The twinjet has a six-abreast economy cross-section and came with either CFM56 or IAE V2500 turbofan engines, except the CFM56/PW6000 powered A318. The family pioneered the use of digital fly-by-wire and side-stick flight controls in airliners. Variants offer maximum take-off weights from 68 to 93.5 tonnes (150,000 to 206,000 lb), to cover a 5,740-6,940 kilometres; 3,570-4,320 miles (3,100-3,750 nmi) range. The 31.4 m (103 ft) long A318 typically accommodates 107 to 132 passengers. The 124-156 seat A319 is 33.8 m (111 ft) long. The A320 is 37.6 m (123 ft) long and can accommodate 150 to 186 passengers. The 44.5 m (146 ft) A321 offers 185 to 230 seats. The Airbus Corporate Jets are business jet versions.
About Boeing 787 (from Wikipedia):
The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is an American wide-body airliner developed and manufactured by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. After dropping its unconventional Sonic Cruiser project, Boeing announced the conventional 7E7 on January 29, 2003, which focused largely on efficiency. The program was launched on April 26, 2004, with an order for 50 aircraft from All Nippon Airways (ANA), targeting a 2008 introduction. On July 8, 2007, a prototype 787 without major operating systems was rolled out; subsequently the aircraft experienced multiple delays, until its maiden flight on December 15, 2009. Type certification was received in August 2011, and the first 787-8 was delivered in September 2011 before entering commercial service on October 26, 2011, with ANA.
About Etihad Airways (from Wikipedia):
Etihad Airways (Arabic: شَرِكَة ٱلْاِتِّحَاد لِلطَّيْرَان, romanized: sharikat al-ittiḥād li-ṭ-ṭayarān) is one of two flag carriers of the United Arab Emirates (the other being Emirates). Its head office is in Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi, near Zayed International Airport. The airline commenced operations in November 2003, and is the second-largest airline in the UAE after Emirates. The name Etihad is the Arabic word for 'Union'.

That’s strange - it worked well for me when I was there last year!
They are enforcing the 7kg carryon limit because passengers are supposed to lift the bags up and stow it themselves. Some people arrive in the cabin with 15kg luggage or more and expect the crew to lift them up for them. Now imagine what this will do to the backs of crew lifting multiple bags every flight × 20 flights a month

Etihad has a new seating policy... now you can check in online 30 hours before and you will be assigned a seat, but what they're not saying is that you can pick/change your seat for free 4 hours before!

Applied to any seat? Free change 4 hrs before?
That option to book a second seat next to you is great, unless you're me and you book it for an overbooked flight and they sit a mother with a small child next to you anyway. The child was actually super quiet and I didn't notice her at all, but Etihad customer service absolutely REFUSED to pay back the extra money I spent on the second seat until I started getting extremely harsh with them. So be careful, is all I'm saying.

Perfect timing!! I get to watch this before startung work. Lets go!!
I had a good memory flying Etihad KTM-AUH-ORD back in 2017,only once, though they stopped flying that route after pandemic but will definitely try Etihad again in future.
Have you tried the Collins Aspire seats they have? I saw them at the Dubai Airshow. You should try them !!
You have no idea how helpful this video is because i'm flying with etihad this week
Fair play Dan, didn’t know you did Economy!
love the new website overview think mentioning the ticket types and pricing in that same section would make a lot of sense
Very helpful thank you
Beautiful flight review as usual. The new airport of Abu Dhabi is stunning, the natural light it gets inside and the flowers look good.
The lav situation sounds good. The airport looks great. Glad the seats are comfy. I think their economy class has ups and glaring downs. Always enjoy your viewpoints. Sounds like the crew was accommodating. Makes you think this would be okay. Thanks for an entertaining review.
Flew with Etihad from LHR to Abu Dhabi & then onto Phuket in economy. Flew on the a380 & 787, couldn’t fault the service or seating
that abu dhabi terminal was absolutely hell. When I flew business class from dublin to AD to Qatar to Thailand to Japan...AD felt like Laguardia in the 90s

Dan, i'm a frequent flyer of Qatar… and i have to say, they have checked my Cabin Baggage everytime… not just in Economy, even in Business Class.
Great video, I use Nord VPN - but if I’m on a hotel wifi the only way to make safari work is to turn off the VPN, if it’s on I can’t make anything work. What is the point of paying for a secure service if you can NEVER take advantage of it when you actually need it? Very frustrating.
Good video Dan ! Were you in delhi to review the new Air india A350 aircraft?
How does one use points from other programms such as Aeroplan for Miles&Smiles for example?
Etihad just last week assigned me extra legroom economy seats for free at online check-in on both JFK-AUH and AUH-BOM!
How do you bid on a seat lock??? I’d love to do that for my long haul flights
Etihad is ONLY going down and I was very surprised with this move. Flying a lot with Star Alliance and Emirates recently, and trying to web check-in for Etihad literally "right now" and you can't select seats for free. They auto select for you and you can't pick on your own. On a long haul flight, this is ABSOLUTE BS. You can switch seats 4 hours before departure of each flight. So in a multiple segment flight, this is an auto punishment.
I travelled to Shanghai n Chengdu recently using my home country telco SIM with no access problem to google , FB, IG, KZread etc
Great review as always!

Great review Dan, surprisingly enough I had quite the opposite experience with Etihad. Flew from Chennai to Bahrain and back. I did not enjoy the 787, the legroom was less than that on the A320 I felt. I enjoyed the one hour I spent on the A320 more than the 4 hours I spent on the 787.
Hard critique but much needed for Etihad considering they are competing with the other big luxurious middle eastern airliners like EK and QR. Its the same reason why we evaluate mercedes F1 team against Red Bull when they really are just a mid field team since 2022. ;)
No. Etihad's website is a nightmare if you are trying to get through from your guest account. Seat sales are a huge con... you'll end up paying appreciable amounts to guarantee a decent seat as an Etihad Guest and then end up next to a non-Guest who didn't pay. Cabin crew performance is highly variable and a lot of their safety practice is appalling.
Your course is amazing! I just booked a Business flight for the same price as Economy!!!!

An advantage of AUH Airport: US Customs and Border Protection, which allows you to land at a US Airport as if you were on a domestic flight.
If you want a normal headrest on EY Widebody, they still have the Boeing 777
Great review! I've always loved the Etihad livery...✈️✈️✈️
OMG thankyouuu for this video🥹i’m flying from amsterdam to seoul with Etihad in May with a B787-9 & 10 so this video is very helpful🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼
Can anyone review the Dan master’s program? Is it worth it ?Really appreciate any feedback Thanks
We are travelling with Etihad from the uk to Tokyo to board a cruise, and we have just learned about the luggage allowance 23kg + 7kg hand luggage with no extra handbags at all, if your in economy. We are really disappointed and we will be panicking with our weights unless of course we purchase extra luggage allowance and a huge cost. Very disappointing.😢
Aer lingus review plss
I would love a new review on Asiana Airlines I flew my first long-haul flight with them from London to South Korea to Japan in economy. I wasn't expecting much but the food was good, we had a choice of Korean or Western food (we even got a meal on the 2 hour flight to Tokyo) They would also serve hot tea frequently on the flight. The flight attendants were so nice and professional. The only thing I didn't like is we had to keep the windows shut so kinda a waste of a window seat, idk if this is normal on long haul flights but oh well.
Please review Westjet
Good Vid, you should fly Turkish again they improved a lot the last time I flew with them.
You should do a "how to do a flight/trip report video tutorial

Dan, you should be flying AUH/DOH/DXB to SYD (Australia) during peak travel periods. Those 14+ hours in packed economy will give you a real sense of the experience of each airline 😁
@BH6242KCh

I did Etihad 14+ hours in packed economy going the other direction, AUD-ORD. That was 2016 from the old, overcrowded terminal. It wasn't terrible, but no better than a US domestic carrier. I had just flown Qatar months earlier, which was far better at the time.

Hi Dan, can you do a video about the extremely concerning Boeing allegations and aircraft malfunctions? I'm worried about flying on one of them at the moment because it's simply terrifying.
Telegram isn't blocked, you can use it to call
There are no entertainment screens ??
How do you feel about flying the 787 with everything going on with Boeing?
„feels a little cramped, like all 787s do“ Except JAL, they have 2-4-2 in Economy on their 787s.
I got a question if I travel on buisness class on Qatar airways can directly boar from the lounge?

I’ve never had a good experience with Etihad. I remember going to India and returning to Sydney on Etihad and they really don’t treat their passengers well on the flights to India. I remember the flight attendants being rude to passengers and it was uncomfortable to watch.
Okay, so normally I don't comment on any of your videos Dan as I find them all super informative and helpful, but I felt compelled to comment on my recent Etihad experience with my family of 5. We flew from Melbourne Australia to Copenhagen Denmark and then flew back from Paris last week. We've flown all 3 middle eastern airlines as we generally fly to Europe as a family every year and I have to say - our experience was really disappointing. Like you, I'm a Vegan and the food was just awful. We were actually served the exact same meal twice on the 13 hour MEL - AUH leg - a dreary pasta with tomato sauce. We flew the 787 on the way out and a very old and tired 777 on the way back. No screens worked. The toilets were 2010. Food - awful again. No airvents for a 13 hour flight - not okay. My son's tray table was broken. And then the Pearl Lounge in Abu Dhabi - where do I even start? No Vegan food whatsoever - not even any fruit! We had to ask several servers for water! And $AUD45 for a shower - really? The very little food offerings in the new terminal's Food Court are not just expensive - they are outrageous. $AUD20 for Kombucha! $AUD20 for a single sushi roll! And we paid $AUD500 for seat selection on the MEL-AUH leg to sit up the back with the last 3 row and 2 row - they gave those seats to someone else and we were never refunded nor given any explanation - only that the plane was full. For me personally, it's still Qatar Airways all the way for these long hauls. Etihad in my opinion has a very long way to go to compete with food, in-cabin comfort and airport and lounge experience. They may well be competing with Wizz Air on many routes - but Emirates and Qatar are their main competitors out of Australia and they need to lift their game significantly to get even close. Shorter hops may well be okay - but I certainly would not be recommending them for long haul flights out of Australia.
I’ve never found the Dreamliner comfy with 3-3-3 seating, which is why I’ve usually avoided etihad. However those extra leg room seats look appealing for those transatlantic flights. Also I totally feeling on the double fruit cups! I have to order gluten free for celiac disease and Qatar airways BOMBARDED me with fruit cups
Great airline ❤
review garuda indonesia pls
expecting Japan Airlines A350-1000 haneda to jfk first class review soon from nonstop dan as JAL offers the most expensive Champagne Salon onboard from tokyo soon!!!
Its weird that Etihad a full service airline has removed entertainment and Flydubai a low cost carrier has installed entertainment in economy
China Southern review plz
I'm glad I saw this video as its been a while since I took Etihad on my usual LHR-KTM route and if they've removed the IFE on their smaller aircraft, I'd rather take Qatar Airways. FlyDubai also has no IFE.
Can you do Etihad business next?
We`re flying with Etihad and already they`ve been a nightmare keep making changes to the flights and changing our seat selection with no obvious reason why. Won`t ever use them again after this time.

You got lucky being on an empty flight . Would love your review on a full flight over seven hours in economy .
Am I the only one who notices and wonders why he is carrying 2 MacBooks in his arms, while filming, and at the airport lol
They probably gave you two fruit cups because all the desserts had dairy in them
T3 IGI Delhi Airport 💯
What they do that to the luggage’s crazy
Not a fan of Etihad, I tried them in short haul business and economy, and medium and ultra long haul in economy. The carry-on policy of Qatar and Etihad is ridiculous sometimes it is enforced and sometimes it isn't. It is surprising Etihad flies narrow body vs QR and EK flying widebodies with more frequency. Legroom is appalling though the pillow looks better than what Qatar gives in economy.

We want price of airplane tickets by weight off passanger to stop overpaying, like it is for luggage.
