She is speaking in Amharic and she is singing about the province Gonder, the people and places around there and how she grew up around there. Gonder locates at North-western part of Ethiopia bordering Sudan. "Dumarasu", I think you heard it differently but, she saying "Dimos le'Gonder sew...." she is basically saying For me to Love Gondar and its people is not enough, even praising every day...doesn't express all my affection...". Hope that help you understand the song.

Omg tears I remember this song as a kid in Asmara, Eritrea back then Ethiopian and Eritrea used to be the same country before the countries split. The lyrics is even better than the sound. I just got butterfly in my stomach it got me crying remembering childhood. God bless Eritrea and Ethiopia one love! 🇪🇷🇪🇹

Im from Ghana but can't hide my feelings from this lady's music

This song will never get old no matter what, it reminds me of my childhood whenever I listened to her, even though I don't understand the language but it shake me from inside. Back in 2005 when my brother bought a cassette of her, since that time, I loved her music and everytime I listen to her songs like its my first time, it's now 23rd Dec 2021, 16 years exactly but I still love it like never before. From South Sudan, I owe her a lot. I really can't believe the fact that she's no more as people says, Ethiopia and Africa at large lost a great legend in music industry and universal language, even though she is gone, she deserves to be awarded a music title. May her soul rest well, I'm writing this with tears rolling down my eyes.
