there is one thing that I did not think Blackman did correctly - he was teasing and patronizing the Ethiopian cameraman - when he visited the beautiful mountain site - the Ethiopian camera man is obviously trying to make a living in a difficult economy - Blackman should have been polite to him and said I do not need your services - he had an Ethiopian with him and she could have told him - but instead Blackman was teasing him - this was not mature behavior - something a Middle schooler would do - quasi bullying

I'm a Black American, and I was in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia back in late September of 2022 for the Meskel Festival. Entoto Park brings back a lot of memories. I can't wait to get back there in a couple of months.

There’s of course a city called lalibela , known for its distinctive rock-cut churches dating from the 12th and 13th centuries, which are pilgrimage sites for Coptic Christians. Gondar is another town in the amhara region well known for the fasiledes castle. I just want to clear this out cause she made it seem like it’s the same thing.

Apparently, Black man did not realize the camera man was there to earn a living by taking random pictures and sell them to the person if he is lucky. It is possible many people will buy the professionaly taken pictures once they see them. Blackman is treated with respect but he is not treating his hosts in kind.
