This is very touchy story.The great mum died of bleeding,still a common cause of death of mothers in the third world country.Our mother,our godeses take a great risk to bring us down to the world.We should love them,care them and hold them in high esteem. As to hiding our history,it is the single most common cause of all the problems the country is suffering from.We were brought up feeding serious mistakes.Some of our people pointed to this serious problem and labelled unpatriotic by a group who believe in hiding where and how we came where we are now.We should be who we say we are and faking history presents no good and it is and was a sickness.Some of us wished that our ancestors are from some distant perceived superior race looking down up on our real identity and created confusion and elements of lack of self confidence among our people.We are indigenious people of Horn of Afrika.The chronicles of the kings is the source of all this problem.They wanted to recreate Ras Tefery Mekonen as the descendant of the conquering Lion of Judah.The king wss part oromo part Amhara,no Jewish blood in him.We were in self denial and it is was a sickness.We are great people by our own right,we are amazing,talented lions of Afrika. Last but not least the new Ethiopia of our time is to go down the genuine line of what we are and how we came.I salute with my hats off to the presenter of story.You are a great patriot and honest person.We heal the wound among our people by telling the truth and being honest to our country and our selves.

Touching! God bless you for trying to disclsoe the hiden facts. I grew up thinking the same thing i.e. the mystery back hiding the maternity of the king & his ethnicity. Two main fackts about the king have been hiden with intention: 1) the fact that the king was oromo 2) the fact that the king had a muslim back ground. The reason for hiding these facts was also two: 1) coz the king had to claime for being from solomon dyansty which is pure sematic and for that purpose he had to deny (hide) his true oromo identity which is cushatic. 2) inorder to claime solomon dyansty, he had to appear as "pure" christian and hence his muslim background had to be denied (hiden). All this was just for the sake of power and to appear as the "right" person for the politics of the time. We still see the same mentality in our time i.e. self denial for political/power. Look at the members of the current regime. Most of them do not belong to the ethnic group they represent but made by the party to appear so.

Love All 1. He is not half oromo but 100% oromo coz wollo is oromo by ethnicity(wollo means it self one of the clan of oromo) i.e. the king's mother was oromo. Since she was from muslim family, the false history writers of the time tried to lable her as gurage coz being amhara was linked with being christian (which was the politics of the time and that's why even the king him self pretended as being amhara). There is no ethnic group called wollo! That they speak amharic today does not make them amhara, with the exception of those amharas who were settled there through time. So if you claim u know historical facts, you should not hide that very fact too. 2. There never been oromo case at the UN meeting wereby he was to answer/defend. Do you have any source? Bohomie and Love all: I don't think u guys should arguing on this issue b/c neither of u bring the satisfying point for the public except presenting ur hisorical view as many historians did before. Let us believe as we want about the king's (HaileSelasse's) tribal identity or his family tree. However, let us come together as Ethiopian to tackle the current problem that our beloved couuntry is faced. I have no doubt that most of us agree....our country has been suffered from woyane's tribal based politics for the last 27 years. In which, tenth of thousands of Ethiopian if not millions have been killed, thousands have been prisoned, and many have left the county. Woyane has been and will be facilitated how we are going to destroy ourselves in the coming days, weeks, or months. The best thing to do for us....let's set aside our reginol identity, in which, all of us have been loser and of course will be dying unless we say WE ARE ETHIOPIAN!!!

Please don't' address Haileselasie's mother as princess. That title never existed in her time. The title prince and princess is of recent introduction in the country's history. It all began after Emperor Haile Selasie returned from exile in London. On his return to Ethiopia, he copied that title from the titles of the royal family of England and introduced it to his royal family of Ethiopia.

Touching! God bless you for trying to disclsoe the hiden facts. I grew up thinking the same thing i.e. the mystery back hiding the maternity of the king & his ethnicity. Two main fackts about the king have been hiden with intention: 1) the fact that the king was oromo 2) the fact that the king had a muslim back ground. The reason for hiding these facts was also two: 1) coz the king had to claime for being from solomon dyansty which is pure sematic and for that purpose he had to deny (hide) his true oromo identity which is cushatic. 2) inorder to claime solomon dyansty, he had to appear as "pure" christian and hence his muslim background had to be denied (hiden). All this was just for the sake of power and to appear as the "right" person for the politics of the time. We still see the same mentality in our time i.e. self denial for political/power. Look at the members of the current regime. Most of them do not belong to the ethnic group they represent but made by the party to appear so.

Love All 1. He is not half oromo but 100% oromo coz wollo is oromo by ethnicity(wollo means it self one of the clan of oromo) i.e. the king's mother was oromo. Since she was from muslim family, the false history writers of the time tried to lable her as gurage coz being amhara was linked with being christian (which was the politics of the time and that's why even the king him self pretended as being amhara). There is no ethnic group called wollo! That they speak amharic today does not make them amhara, with the exception of those amharas who were settled there through time. So if you claim u know historical facts, you should not hide that very fact too. 2. There never been oromo case at the UN meeting wereby he was to answer/defend. Do you have any source? You should also put your stupid word in an appropriate way coz that very word was fabricated by the old time of abysinian elites to psychologically undermine the then strong & powerfull nation, oromo. Bohomie and Love all: I don't think u guys should arguing on this issue b/c neither of u bring the satisfying point for the public except presenting ur hisorical view as many historians did before. Let us believe as we want about the king's (HaileSelasse's) tribal identity or his family tree. However, let us come together as Ethiopian to tackle the current problem that our beloved couuntry is faced. I have no doubt that most of us agree....our country has been suffered from woyane's tribal based politics for the last 27 years. In which, tenth of thousands of Ethiopian if not millions have been killed, thousands have been prisoned, and many have left the county. Woyane has been and will be facilitated how we are going to destroy ourselves in the coming days, weeks, or months. The best thing to do for us....let's set aside our reginol identity, in which, all of us have been loser and of course will be dying unless we say WE ARE ETHIOPIAN!!!
