It sounds like a cathartic cry, like a montage of the people you love smiling, climbing a mountain, falling peacefully into a bed of flowers, horrible news, killing a dragon, death and an incredibly warm hug from someone you haven't seen in a while. All at once. Boy oh boy he just has the music juice in him this one!

THAT PART GETS TO ME TOO!!! It reminds me a little of the passage of time if that makes sense, of memories passing by like creatures in the water, this music makes me EMOTIONAL and we barely know the characters yet 😭

I thought this exact thing the first time I heard this!

This song makes me sad in the strangest way. It really feels like remorse. Which, when it's first unveiled at the end of the fifth episode of the build up miniseries, is apt. It's a story of a people who have failed. They failed to save their world, and now their trapped. Every time I listen to this I feel like I've done something I can't take back. Like I've hurt someone.

I find it so interesting that people say it makes them sad or wanna cry or in your case feel remorse. This song feels... Empowering to me, i think. It makes me wanna drive down the highway 100 mph at 3 AM just to feel alive. Or like waking up after being asleep for years and being full of energy to do the things I've been scared of doing. Something like that for me lol

It really hits a lot of the same things for me. But I don't think it's a sadness with remorse but moreso it strikes me with a looming sense of a broader future and that can be scary sometimes. But I totally hear what you're saying, it makes me feel a very big type of way

I was wondering why this theme hit me so hard until I heard the piano cover that made it clear it's more or less a remix of Clair de Lune, one of my favorite songs. A perfect example of the value of expiring copyrights. Great job, Griff.

God truly this is the best theme he’s made thus far. There’s something in the way the music swells that makes my chest rise and get so pumped. Fucking good job, Griffy

@@analogger3058 Very good actually, thanks for asking! Just last week they had their first session outside of the sea setting and I was very interesting to see how the party dealt with being nerfed on land. One of them has Limited Amphibiousness which they had to figure a way around, the 2 tritons didnt really have any issues and the Dragonkin finally got to stretch his legs

This theme so perfectly fits the real-world moment it was created in. It is an acknowledgment of disaster, with a momentum of delicate hope. It's what I need to hear every time I hear it in 2021.

Beginning section really reminds me of a simplified Claire De Lune

the entire song is a simplified clair de lune and im living for it. weird pull for an ocean-based story considering "clair de lune" means moonlight, but clair de lune is such a good song it doesnt matter lol.

I’d consider griffin to be a properly talented composer, he makes music that is incredibly moving which is not something that happens to me a lot with art in general

I can't agree more. This has elements of somberness, ala Inon Zur, it has the building enthusiasm and excitement of a Michael Giacchino score, the Go get em' of a Route theme from Pokémon-- It's outstanding and I always look forward to the gift that Griffin McElroy freely gives us with his music. His wit and charm are plenty but if he EVER made an album, I would buy all of them.

@@The_Paper_Star_Wizard_Hat not wrong to ask at all, don't worry! It's very spherical, it starts small and gentle, mostly an orb of blue tones. When the songs chorus begins it bursts into a huge sphere of blue, purple, and green. When the dun dun dun sounds start at 1:06 there's distinct blooms of gold lights, the background is swirling and faintly iridescent. Nearing the end it all slowly fades into a deep blue with blinking, multicolored lights that are synced to the notes playing in the background. I hope some of that makes sense lol

An old friend of mine who introduced me to TAZ to begin with passed away a few months ago and all I can think of when listening to this theme is that he never got to hear it

This song is both so relaxing and also MASSIVE SLAP. It also reminds me so much of Clair de Lune, I feel Griff has come full-circle.

WHY DOES THIS MAKE ME CRY SO MUCH, THIS ARC HAS JUST STARTED

I’ve gone through some really hard things during this season and one of my most calming things is ethersea. This song will always hold a special place for me.

Every time I listen to this, I get nostalgia from an event that has never happened, yet the feeling is so strong.

Just more proof that underwater music in anything is magnificent (even if the levels aren’t)

This is the best theme out of all of them
