I wonder how much vitalik will realize in the future. He is still a kid. I like him a lot. He cares about the fundamentals instead of making money.

Correct about his age but he does have a couple devs who have the experience to make money, they dont always show up on the metting but they do exist.

Isaiah Mitchem, He and the team of people surrounding him and the work; has transformed our lives in the present and all future time. Dinosaurs need to face their demise: Not 300 years from now: Now and 3 seconds from then.

I actually worry for him. He is a genuine soul. Means no harm. Likes innovation and the digital world. Unfortunately when there is a threat to the global powers financials, evil arises. There are many evil humans on this planet. And they ALL are threatened by this inevitable future. I hope that he is protected from these evils. He is a great mind, and a great spirit. Good luck to you my friend!

I only looked into Vitalik a few days ago. I am starting to have the feeling that I can’t imagine the world without him. I know that sounds gay, it’s not. It’s just that it’s OBVIOUS that he’s going to be at the head of this space for a long time.

Except for the fact that nobody challenged Facebook, and that was the point I was interested in and therefore why I clicked this, this was very interesting and raised a lot of questions about the organization of society/economics that are essentially non-technical.

So, just like Bitcoin is a decentralised, censorship resistant and immutable payments platform; Ethereum wants to be a decentralised, censorship resistant and immutable payments+smart contracts platform. The trouble is that not many of the current actors understand this vision. Or rather, the way the platform was originally deployed (marketed as an open-source venture with a mixed-matched team and a central foundation) somehow ENCOURAGED other people (i.e entrepreneurs, con(wo)men, gamers in conjunction with their made up teams of techies) to join the movement. Hence the poor state of the platform as now. I still think it pays to take the time to educate people on how the platform works. In the future, I would love to see the Ethereum Foundation partner with public education providers to deliver training to a broader spectrum of people (whether they are developers or not). That would definitely sustain its project of decentralised smart-contracts in the longer run. Bottom line is: NOT everything can be turned into pure algorithm at this stage...especially not project governance.

No-one notices the catch ... tech always as a tool to deal with untoward tendencies: it never RESOLVES these ... they are only temporary fixes, until another workaround needs to emerge. Technology is incapable of making fundamental changes to the consciousness of humanity

Unless - or perhaps you disagree - we count psycho-active plants and products made from them as 'tech.' I suppose you mean electronics etc. It's a fair point you make, though, in any case.
