I'm someone who instinctively listens to melody/beat of the song first and the lyrics second but I'm trying my best to listen to both simultaneously, but yeah upon first few listens of we cant be friends I didn't feel much, thought it sounded oddly nostalgic and old song vibes but had a nice tune, still preferred imperfect for you & i wish i hated you. But then people on tiktok started using we cant be friends' chorus for a trend where they blurred out pictures of their exes and that's when the song clicks for me and damn.

you harmonize playfully but they come out so beautiful, talented! ❤❤❤
