Big thanks to Toni for lending this sweet sports watch in. Love the large triangle indicies in this model. Sorry to bring another hard to find watch to the channel but it’s still super cool and maybe good score used?

Not gonna lie, feel little bad showing hard to find watches. Still fun to check them out and share though. Most will show up used and decent deals though.

What a cool watch! Love everything about it. Definitely one of the coolest pieces that featured on this channel. A lot of character! Thank you and Tony for sharing.

Thanks Bob for having reviewed this watch. I don't know why Eterna stopped its production. I always thought it was the best looking watch they made and also their most iconic offering. I regret not being able to have purchased one in the past. If they make them again, I do hope they produce them in a smaller size... perhaps 38 or 39 mm.

These older Kontiki's are so hard to find. I just got the rare white version today after 2 years of searching for one. Such good watches that still hold their own against today's luxury pieces. I've got this black one as well

That is one of the more interesting watch dials I’ve seen in a while. I think I could get used to that quite easily.

Iconic 1220 Kontiki Toni. About double that $499 price for a good example of this exact model used. It's been OOP for a while, but worth chasing one down.

Cool to see you just discovering this watch, I was obsessed about these for a while until I finally got a 4-hands date model. Unfortunately the 42mm case is too big for me.

Eterna sold off the movement division which was ETA. Swatch Co. purchased ETA but Eterna is not a Swatch brand and is owned by another Company.

Thank you, very interesting watch. I’d much rather learn about semi-obscure watches such as this than the latest crowd sourced flash-in-the-pan. Thank you.

Nice to see this watch on KZread. I own one. Very cool watch which doesn't look like any other one. "Raroia" version. Or "Raro Nuku" (the other name of the island).

Looking at the case back and by the name, it seems like a homage to the Kon Tiki Expedition done by Thor Heyerdal where he proved that early polynesian civilisations could reach South America or Africa in their straw made ships. That's really cool.

I’d like this watch more at 38mm with a slightly larger lollipop seconds hand -nicely done otherwise.

38-40mm would be insane and I would have to own. 42mm works but I agree it’s not ideal.

Shanghai watches made a similar design at 38mm I think. Good stuffs.com have them. I have a Shanghai 7120 watch and its a really good and accurate watch.
