After measuring VER, at what value do you say the cow is in estrus or not estrus?

What is the effect of the disinfectant in the vagina? Wouldn't it affect subsequent breeding if the animal were to be bred naturally where semen is deposited in the vagina?

Depending on the disinfectant you are using, apply some water onto the probe to minimise the potential risk of irritation. However, if you are using a good quality alcohol it will evaporate if you give it some time.

Hello Bernard. Thank you for contacting Dramiński. The detector is designed for safe and comfortable examination of cows and mares. In search of a simple ovulation detection method, scientists together with breeders have determined a direct relationship between changes in the electrical resistance of cervical mucus and the occurrence of ovulation. It has been proven that the closer to ovulation, the greater the changes in the electrical resistance of mucus. Examination consists in inserting the probe into the animal’s vagina. The tip of the probe with the electrodes should come as close as possible to the entrance of the cervix (you can feel resistance). The result is obtained after completing the measurement cycle.
