hace casi 1 año conocí a una amiga colombiana que estaba en mi país de au-pair y mi español no era tan bien. al principio tenía mucha verguenza y miedo cometer errores pero muy rapido dejé el miedo y empece a cometer errorers y aprender fue algo super divertido y de cometere errores aprendí mucho. to all students, don't be scared to make mistakes from every mistake you''ll learn and improve, don't be shy to speak in spanish, i bet you that the native speakers will already appreciate it so much that you're learning their language. i met a lot of native speakers and all of them were super kind and helpfull to me. vamonos :D

The Argentians have one of the cutest Spanish accents, I love these 2 sisters, Brenda and Romina, I practice my Spanish with a guy and a gal from Buenos Aires. They have helped me a lot. Of course I always chuckle when I hear their LL and Y pronunciation.

jajaja las mascotas nos tienen demasiada paciencia a veces. La idea es sacar el español que sabes de tu cabeza y hacer que tus cuerdas vocales aprendan a comunicarse con tu cerebro. Mientras más hagas este ejercicio más rápida será la conexión. De verdad que funciona, yo estuve hablando sola en inglés por años!!

Excellent, clear and valuable instruction. I know that most Americans speak out of the right side of their mouths but I'd never seen an hispanohablante doing that. Is that common in Argentina or just something that happens after learning English?

Este sugerencia es muy buena idea para mejorar español conmigo. Yo tengo un plano y lo divido un partes cada dia. Siempre yo tengo clase a la mañana con practico vocabularios, gramatica o leyendo un dialogo, un corta conta etc... A la tarde yo tengo un tiempo para ver una pellicula español y a otra vez intento a traer un subtítulo para ver palabras y expresíon o dicho para ver y al mismo tiempo para escuchar nativos que hablan español muy perfecto y exacto... Por lo que quires apprender español es una buena manera de escuchar este video de tú y siguir todas consejos de para ti...❤️🥰👍☺️

Este es una buena idea. Yo uso la internet por este también. Hablo con nativos por unos pocos minutos en español y entonces hablamos en inglés. No es mal porque no los conozco muy bien. He conocí mucha gente esta manera y ahora tengo muchos amigos de otros países. Además no estoy asustado de haciendo errores. Es una parte de aprender.

Tener miedo de cometer errores es muy común pero es también vital para mejorar y seguir adelante. Te imaginas si cuando éramos niños tuviéramos miedo de intentar caminar y caernos, tener miedo de decir nuestra primera palabra, nunca hubiéramos aprendido a andar ni hablar. Me encanta que tengas amigos para practicar, ahora solo tienes que vencer el miedo y practicar tu español con ellos.

Tu español es bueno y lo suficientemente bueno para poder tener conversaciones básicas, Brian. Es un proceso y con el tiempo y poco de estudio verás que puedes mejorar mucho.

¡Ah! ¡Verdad! Más fácil por otra persona de estar de acuerdo por solo 10-15 minutos. Voy a sugerir la misma cosa cuando algunas pedir hablar francés con migo.

Hablo con una chica de españa (no es mi novia pero casí xD) desde la mañana hasta la noche todos los días y sí me ayuda mucho y a cambio le hablo en inglés para que ella lo practique 😄

¡Awww qué lindo! ¡Me encanta! Les recomiendo que hablen en un idioma a la vez por un rato cada uno. Por ejemplo una hora en inglés y luego una hora en español para que practiquen también audio comprensión.

¡Felicidades por comprender mi español! ¡Fabuloso! you can try to meet people in local groups of hispanics leaving in your city or go to a Latin restaurant, or meet people online. Even other Spanish students to talk to.

People freak out about speaking another language because they know that the other person will say something they haven't studied. This is why a classroom sitch is a good way to learn, you have people you can "practice" with.

Do you have some courses where you speak only in Spanish?

Getting my Colombian wife to speak to me for more than 10 minutes in any language is a challenge 😏🤣

@@HolaSpanish Gracias por tu ejercicios …. Yo uso videos de tres maestras de you tube con los programas del telefono Dúo Lingo y Spanish D¡ct … Ambos requiren la repetitión de palabras y oráciones pero no es el mismo a hablar con gentes

I find your videos very helpful. I'm at a stage where I get most of what you're saying but my brain still insists on translating it. It's annoying. And tricks for ridding myself of that or does it just take time?

It does take time and the brain is an incredible efficient machine! Of course at the beginning is doing this as you build your Spanish language database. You'll notice you'll do this less and less with time and more practice. Keep going! You're doing and amazing job! ♥

So the verb 'soler' is used for habitual action in the past which is why we use it in the imperfecto and it means 'to usually do/to tend to' and in the imperfecto 'solía' it means 'I used to' in English. And you're right, we can use the imperfecto to compare something we used to do in the past and contrast it with something we no longer do now, but we also use the imperfecto to talk about routines in the past, to describe people and feelings in the past, and to describe the setting of a story. So don't be afraid to use other verbs in the imperfecto to talk about your past, and things you used to do in your childhood. Por ejemplo: cuando era niña solía ir/íba a la playa los domingos con mi familia. Era muy divertido pasar tiempo con mis abuelos.

Brenda, the only sentence I didn’t quite follow was when you used “que tal” in the sentence. Could you tell me what you meant? Me gustó este video mucho! Gracias por su ayuda!

Espero que puedas vencer el miedo e intentar practicar con ellas. Y lo mejor es que ellas no hablan inglés es la perfecta oportunidad para practicar porque no van a intentar hablar inglés contigo. Dime si te funciona y creo que tu español es lo suficientemente bueno para empezar a practicar.

Mi esposa es dominicana pero ella prefiere hablar inglés siempre. Casi nunca hablamos español.

They probably talking very fast and with an accent that you're not too used to listen to yet. This is very common and remember that when you watch this video you know what it will be about, you have context and that helps a lot. I recommend you to try to do some listening comprehension exercises, try to watch local tv and see if you can meet local people to practice with. You're doing a great job, Bruce and the great news is that you can understand me, so with time you'll start to pick up more and more other Spanish accents and variations. Sometimes I don't even understand certain Spanish accents and I need a few minutes to get used to their way of talking. Keep going amigo!

It looks like your English is quite good. Mi español es muy malo (copied from an online translator). I think it would be best for you to find someone with English as a first language, with whom you can speak face to face. Trying to learn online is helpful but not nearly as effective.

Eso es cierto, si necesitas más tiempo puedes pedirles que sea un poco más larga la conversación. Yo digo '15 minutos' como un punto de referencia, osea un tiempo corto para que ambos no sientas que tienen que estar hablando por mucho tiempo. Puedes ajustar el tiempo a lo que a ti te sirva mejor.

la mejor metodo es practicar el espanol con los amigos

Puedes intentar conocer a hispanohablantes si vas a restaurantes latinos o quizás en línea en grupos o puedes practicar con otros estudiantes de español.

Hacer (to do/make), Haber (to have - auxiliary verb) - you've mixed up two verbs. I take your point but pronunciation in English is super difficult, at least in spanish you have the potential to say each of those verbs right first time, whereas someone trying to say doing v does has basically zero chance of correct pronunciation first go.
