If you have a mission critical issue or problem that you are trying to solve but are unable to do so internally, it might be time to explore a mutually beneficial relationship with a partner that has expertise in the area.
Aligning on shared objectives and goals is essential to making a partnership work. Both sides need to be invested in these goals and commit time to work towards them. When issues arise, clear accountability needs to be defined and actions need to be set.
Having leadership support and internal sponsors on both sides will help ensure commitment to the partnership. They should develop the culture of the team and ensure that the focus remains on working together to tackle issues.
