    I learned so much from this video after being intimidated for so long.. I finally understand the offset control but I dont understand why it has a negative to positive range? Why couldn’t it go from 0 to 100%? I'm gonna play around with them some more and see if I can draw a conlcusion. Thank you!

    Hello, awesome videos. I am learning a lot from them. I do have a question. when saving presets. I see you have a drop down on your Effects & Presets. How did you get the Animation Presets dropdown. I cant seem to get that on mine. I just got AE and been using it for like 3 days. so forgive me if its a dumb question.

  • @7MinuteAETutorials

    @7MinuteAETutorials

    It's not a dumb question at all. If you've never saved an animation preset, you have to have one created in your Documents folder. For some reason, AE doesn't create one by default. Once you save your first preset, you'll see that folder because AE will create it for you. It's annoying, but you have to create an animation preset first in order to get the folder created. Then you should have a drop-down. Let me know if this helps.

    Hi Jeff! I just discovered your channel yesterday. I've been a professional video editor for over 25 years now. I've learned so much from you in the past 2 days! Thank you!! I do have a weird question though ... Do you have any thoughts on why those two parameters are specifically named "Ease Low" and "Ease High"? (I understand their function but I can't make sense of the naming convention). Thanks again!!!

  • @7MinuteAETutorials

    @7MinuteAETutorials

    2 жыл бұрын

    Thanks for watching, and thanks for the question. I don't have an official answer to this, but I believe the Ease High and Ease Low thing is based on how I understand Text Animators work. Think about the logic behind it being a shape. That's why there's options like square (I'm pretty sure I remember seeing this from School of Motion on one of their tutorials). Ease High would start the ease at the highest point of the shape (which would be Ease Out) and Ease Low would be at the lowest point (or Ease In). I think it's called High and Low because the internal logic is like a top to bottom of a shape if you were looking at it on a screen... I can visualize what they are talking about but I'm having issues articulating it exactly. The top of the square is Ease High, the bottom of it would be Ease Low. I'm not sure if this helps or makes it more confusing :)

    Hi Jeff, if you read this comment by chance, I am facing an issue with the tracking animation. I am trying to animate two words "new animation" for instance. the problem is the word "New" is not having tracking at all, also there's a cursor appears to moving from left to right. I've centered anchord point, center aligned my text from paragram panel, everything is checked but makes no sense why the tracking is not happening to the whole text properly. I added a blur with tracking, even the blur is working mostly on right side

    I found the solution, it is probably a bug of 2023 AE. Just use based on "line" in advance menu instead of characters . that seems to have solved the issue after I lost two hours
