Want to add a few things: 1. Enemies on fire cannot dodge, block or attack. Burning them first will allow you dispatch them quickly and with ease. Great against leaders or those new enemies from Iki Island. 2. Way of the Flame makes your attack unblockable. It will also increase your melee damage IF you wear an armor or charms that increase Ghost Weapon damage. Charm of the Blazing Flame from NG+ will only increase its burn damage, which is negligible. 3. Enemies will usually dodge after they managed to block your attack, but you can prevent this by using Heavenly Strike. This will also leave them vulnerable, long enough for you to land one light and one heavy attack. The tactic is especially devastating with Gosaku armor, since you can stagger boss immediately with Heavy > Heavenly Strike > Heavy combo. 4. Smoke Bomb 1st upgrade will allow you to perform Slaughter on enemy leader, even in the middle of combat. The normal prompt is Critical Strike, but if you went behind the leader and wait a few seconds, this prompt will change to Slaughter.

It makes sense now why you bound your attack button to the triggers. I thought you were just crazy at first!

I have light attacks on RB, but i didnt remap heavy attack to RT because i didnt know what button to assign to the modifier\interaction button. It needs to be a button i can easily add another stance button to mid-fight. Any ideas? Im playing on steam so if there is a recommended control scheme out there - what would you recommend? I am on NG+ so I expect it to be so hard changing habits, but am willing to try :)

Also try to get water stance upgrades cuz it's heavy attack combo is very fast and somewhat an all rounder in my opinion.

Personally, I don't care about what's optimal, I just take the weapon, clothes and stances etc. based on what's cool. So what if it makes the battles harder, I get to enjoy them more😄

DOSHOO!!!! DOOSHOOOOOO!!!!!!! Also unrelated i made an insane sarugami armour build 1:Charm of muzi ni kami ( basically the one which increases your parry window) 2:charm of susanoo( increases stagger dmg) 3-4-5 slots all will use charm of bludgeoning ( increases stagger dmg and they stack as well) Last charm is your choice but i use cham of inaki which u get by honour shrine which incrase your health and melee dmg

Great video! Those animation cancels look super cool, definitely trying those out on my next run. Though I'm like 90% sure you don't need the Observe Leader side objective in a camp to be able to get the observation point, a lot of leaders will be out and training without that objective being active, so you can get the double dip more often. Definitely remember doing this early game to get wind stance ASAP

One thing I've never quite figured out, when you've got say, a brute enemy who's carrying one of those big-ass shields, are you supposed to fight him with the shield stance or the brute stance? Which takes precedence in a situation like that?

Good question. You should always use the brute stance on any brute. It doesn’t matter that they have a shield. The shield stance won’t do much good on them.

The shield stance 5 hit flurry attack is enough to break their guard so I use shield stance unless it's in a group where I should use the spin attack

GoT Mongol upward peripheral vision is nonexistent. Also you can slash a door behind or beside one and still not get noticed... its hilarious...

I just saw in your video that you can put specific charm on each armor. I spend a lot of time changing charm depending on the armor I want to use. Could you tell me how to do that please ? Thanks

If you use the melee alternate control scheme it makes the stance UI look like that. Not really sure why, but yeah I like how it looks, too.
