In the first ever game between the two sides, the Bombers slaughter the young and inexperienced Gold Coast Suns by a whopping 139 points. The Bombers kicked 15 goals to zero in the first quarter; an AFL record. Kyle Reimers was the surprise star up forward kicking eight goals while skipper Jobe Watson was once again dominant in the midfield with 35 disposals.
