In America, you could register as a motorcycle or car, depending on the state. But motorcycle licenses are easy to get and insurance is lower, so they lose the advantages that warrant the high price in Europe. Maybe in a few years I'll grab a used one. With low demand, the resale prices make it worth it. I just picked up an MP3, under 4k miles, for under $3,000.
