But he may not be great cricketer that doesn’t mean his analysis is not on mark. I agree Virat’s inning was slow though as contrary you may argue if he would have tried hard be maybe at 60/4. But it’s not one sided opinion both has its values

The spin bowlers almost lost the match and the fast bowlers won it back. Virat kept us in the game.

Mindset like this Manjrekar's never change whether there is a victory or not. On such an occasion when the entire country is happy and celebrating, even Rohit and Virat happy for each other, hugging each other, showing their emotions but this guy literally being so negative and killing the entire show with his biased comments. It sounds so ridiculous, I am wondering how he cannot realize what he is doing in such a show.

As always wholeheartedly disagree with Manjrekar. India's bowling innings ebbed and flowed and the reason why the win pc shot to 90 is poor judgement by Rohit to send Axar for the 15th. Hardik should have bowled that over because spinners had been smashed right through the innings and these SA batters are good against spin. But the man whose innings made a difference today was VK who didn't throw his wicket away unlike Klaasen and Kock. That was the platform. And Bumrah is rightly man of the tournament.

Disagree with Sanjay, Virat took India to safety and win and rightly got MOM.

I wanted to say Sanjay that please imagine if Kohli made 70 runs in 40 balls and got out before 15 overs then India not crossed the 160+ mark. And please Sanjay don't say rubbish against Kohli for this match, 34/3 to 176/7 is only happen because of his anchoring innings😤. Sometimes you behave like Inzamam of Pakistan and Michael Vaughan of England who are nothing but a cry baby🥲.

Congrats team India. I disagree with Sanjay’s analysis. Virat was needed to build the innings and that’s what he did. South Africa has excellent balling attack and India did really well. In the end the results matter, and India was able to build pressure and win the game. Remember, they did the same against Pak. Again, thanks to Kohli and Rohit for giving this gift to India.

Yes bowlers saved us, but if kohli had gone earlier India would have bundled out for 140-150… 3 wickets had fallen and those three were the India’s better batters in this tournament… and our bowlers might had lower score to defend which will be even difficult… Can say just one thing.. stop the hate.. well played everyone

Why don't we look at his comments positively. True, Virat played a great innings, but had we lost(and the way klassen, stubbs, qinton batted ) showed it was a great track to bat on. Virat could have accelerated once Axar got out and remember pandiya's hitting prowess couldn't be used by us. Eventhough I am a fan of kohli, still feel Rohit's attitude of unselfishness is something which can't be matched by anyone.

Virat playing the way he did, got us to the respectable score…he absolutely deserved the match of the man award.. No questions our fast bowling trio - bumrah, arshdeep, and Hardik, made all the difference to winning the match, but you needed the score to defend in the first place!!!

We won🎉 and I celebrated till late in the night. I don't understand why we are rating the last over as if Pandya bowled superbly. I would say he was shaking with nervousness and bowled horribly. A rank full toss first ball, we all should thank heavens that Sky held on to that amazing catch. Ultimate difference was that the last South African batters were more nervous than Pandya! It's bit rich for Pandya to declare that he "was just executing the plans for which he prepared". Hogwash, I say. He should just thank All the Gods and Angels who were looking after him through that last over. Congratulations though, the great game again proved that Luck still plays the most important role in the outcome of a game between equally competitive opposing teams

Pacers got us back. 176 total in an Final in a WC that saw low scores, lowest runrate ever, you always bet on this Indian bowling to defend that against a team like SA. Coming Virat you don't expect him to give his wicket away before 15 overs when the team had lost experienced T20I batters like Rohit, Pant & SKY at 34 odd. Imagine India 60/4 in 7 overs with Hardik, Axar, Jadeja & Dube. You don't expect this four & Kuldeep, Bumrah, Arshdeep to take them to 160. That is 100 runs in remaining 13 overs 6 wkts against likes of Nortje, Rabada, Marco & Shamsi. He took a bet that one end gave Axar, Dube enough confidence to go big with Virat at a cushion. Ask yourself why SA lose? QDK did play till 15th over? Klassen didn't finish? Miller miscalculated taking it to last over? This is what happens when you Chase. Pressure becomes three times so 170 like total gives you an edge in an Final. All Indian fans would have taken 176 after being 34/3 in yet another final after what we have seen after Kohli fell on Nov 19th last year. This fragile middle order is over dependent on Hardik with Jadeja out form & Dube without any experienced partner would have more likely in two minds struggled or failed badly. Absorbing pressure is not anyone's cup of tea. Before WC everyone predicted IPL like 250+ totals but Final showed us pressure makes you do funny things a par total with the bowling lineup of the tournament will never be easy for a team that won by 1 runs against Nepal. Virat should be appreciated not for 76 runs but for staying till end & scoring those runs when had a bad run of 75 runs in total before the final. He could easily be another SKY showing over intent risking 60/4 but he & management most likely making the call for him to hold back made the difference. You need to appreciate that part. Mr.Manjrekar saying bowlers won you the match & disrespecting batters who took them to 176 was a terrible call. Bowlers won you because you had 176 to defend even after same "bowlers" conceded 147 off 15 overs in a Final!!! I hope you understand what he stated & what he ignored.

Kohli was 14(5) and suddenly we lost 3 wickets.. how he should play? He anchored the innings to build the partnership. And yet, many people trolling kohli. Maaan, whats happening in india. If he played aggressive innings ,he would have got 40(20) but india would have got only 140-150 as the pressure would be too much. Look at klassen game, Once he got out, what happened to SA? Anyway, fans are happy that he got WC. And haters happy that he got retired .

@@prithviroy11 you are right about the dubey decision and axars over against klassan.. But his captaincy is not poor, I think he is a wondrrful captain..there may be some flaws... He is a human.. Hardik would have bern a better choice..especially kohli was going slow ..hardik is the most powerful striker in the middle order, also siraj for jadeja or dube, because seamers had a better record in barbadose , our spinners gave 108 runs from 9 overs..took only a wicket..siraj bowled economically when he played.

Kohli scored 14 runs in the first over, he wouldn't have slowed down if Rohit, Pant and SKY hadn't thrown away their wickets. So firstly, terrible batting from Rohit and then average captaincy. Why did he have Dube in the playing 11 if he wasn't going to give him the ball in case his spinners were going for runs on a pace friendly pitch? Rohit is an average captain with a very good bowling attack, especially Bumrah. That has been the case in the IPL as well, without Bumrah and Hardik, Rohit would have 2 IPL trophies at most.

First 10 overs Virat was good, After that, he disappointed big time. Luckily saved from fantastic bowling. After 12th over, he should have started hitting as there are 4 batters next Hardik, dube, Jadeja , Axar.

If India didn't have enough runs on the board, we wouldn't have won. On a 180 pitch, we scored 176. How is that not enough runs for a final. If that is the case, Rohit shouldn't have thrown away his wicket so cheaply after scoring 2 boundaries off of Keshav Maharaj. Sending Shivam Dube ahead of Hardik Pandya was a terrible error in judgement. Rohit probably didn't want him to shine in the final. Rohit also bowled Kuldeep instead of Hardik in the powerplay when the ball was swinging. Kuldeep hasn't bowled in the powerplay this world cup. Rightly so. What was the point of having Dube in the lineup if you weren't going to trust him with the ball? Axar was going for runs, Kuldeep was going for runs, yet Rohit bowled both of them out. No criticism for Rohit? Sanjay Manjrekar should do some introspection. He is a sad sad man. How does he sleep at night? Terrible hatred for Virat. how is Sanjay saying these things with a straight face? Virat scored 741 runs striking at 155, hitting 38 sixes. Rohit scored 415 at 150 hitting ONLY 23. Why Sanjay? Why? I always like to hear the post match comments from experts but this one made to look bad because of this guy Sanjay Manjrekar. He is keeping on praising Rohit and other Mumbai players. Even after winning a world cup with an important knock, he is criticizing Virat Kohli. I doubt people like Manjrekar ever learnt in life how to talk neutrally as a professional cricket expert. He is sounding so biased, encouraging hero worship. Such biased commentators should never be allowed to participate professionally.

But, a couple of your observations and opinion has been very biased and not that of an expert. You were the one who called jadeja bits and pieces kind of cricketer. Now, after this final you are criticising Kohli for playing slow . You conveniently fail to understand how Kohli was struggling and out of form in the entire tournament. You forget how he steadied Indian ship after we lost back2back 3 in form players in Sky, Rohit & Pant. Have you imagined what would have happened had Kohli thrown his wicket away at that time in pursuit of playing fast. KLASSEN played an exceptional inning and still 176 was enough to be defended by the bowlers. What would have happened , could have happened is irrelevant. An OUT OF FORM Kohli played exceptionaly well , when it mattered. Remember, this was the FINAL

Klassen plays spin very well. And he got axar's over at the correct tym. That too after he hit kuldeep . If that over had given to hardik, we might have won easily. Sanjay never talks about it. He hates kohli from long time. Dont know why. He talks positively about hardik mental situation but he never talked positively about virats mental situation..

Jadeja became a more complete player only after sanjay told the truth. Even now I don't think Jaddu is that big a player to be included in a T20. He is extremely lucky to have got this much chances. I still would have gone for KL Rahul, in place of Dube. Agree pandya should have been preferred over spinners when bowling to klassen.

Sanjay u know nothing about cricket. Virat was 14 of 5. And then we lost wickets in cluster and his role got changed that he would hold one end and other will attack. It was the management decision.
