Two egos that ruined what could’ve been the greatest dynasty. The great Bill Walsh predicted they would never have the same success without each other that they had with each other. Turned out to be prophetic.

EVERYONE knows that, and the #1 reason why in my opinion was his eye for true talent. Even with that, he then brought out the best in them. That is a killer combo, absolute domination. Think about any other coaches and owners who brought on some superstar players that never worked out that should tell you enough how special Jimmy really was.

Jerry Jones, since losing the main players that Jimmy put together, has won two playoff games (since 1996), no NFC Championship games, and no Super Bowls. Meanwhile, he conned the city of Arlington into building him a massive stadium, and making him (not the city) and ton of money. He gets a plaque in the NFL Hall of Fame. He is the perfect example of how mediocrity can get you a plaque in the Hall of Fame. It makes me sick that this Arkansas Hillbilly has done to tarnish the great organization Dallas once was. Pitiful!

It worked well the next few years after that then it did not.

But I guess NFL owners don’t become billionaires letting other people run the show.

Jerry Jones doesn’t have the ability to run a hot dog stand, let alone an NFL football team. For decades now he has been an ABSOLUTE FAILURE at trying to do that. He was even caught up in one of the greatest acts of DISLOYALTY (2nd only to the Patriots removing Tom Brady) ever witnessed in pro football, when he joined the chorus of Dallas fans and unceremoniously threw Tony Romo to the curb - even as Tony was completely healed and ready to return. DECADES OF FAILURE has been the mark of Jerry Jones. And DECADES MORE FAILURE is now his punishment.

When ego and pride run amok. There's no way you allow the type of coach and leader that Jimmy Johnson was, to leave the franchise after winning back 2 back superbowls! Do people understand how difficult it is to win 1? Buffalo had 4 straight opportunities and couldn't even get 1 to show for it. These guys won 2 in a row and were poised to contend for the rest of the decade with there best players coming into there prime (Aikman, Emmitt, Irvin, Woodson etc.) and Jerry basically lets him go.
