Hi I want to make a switch using microcontroller for high power device like refrigerator or water pump which relay would work for this purpose.

I had issue with relay. The startup trigger flickering of relay. How did u solve that ?

If you put some effort and time in it, it will do. Today you also have a "plug and play" solutions like Shelly and Sonoff switches with their apps. In the upcoming months I'll release new content for Shelly devices so check it out once uploaded. My latest video is explaining Shelly humidity and temperature sensor so you can see how the Shelly app looks like and find some info there. In any case have fun!

..this module has bug on its relay board..remove the smd R2 202 resistor in the relay board to be able to work after programming via the switched USB programmer for the esp-01s

Yeah, I don't why they are producing it with that specific resistor.

I got a slightly different module, and can't get it to turn the relay on. Tried all GPIOs available. The module get enough juice. Any ideas?

Check connections for that module. The scheme or diagram to be sure you are wiring as it should be.

Not sure if I understand your question exactly. You do not need the ISP internet access for this module to work. You can connect it to your router/modem WLAN with the Wi-Fi or program module to work as AP over Wi-Fi.
