This is guitar porn overload. Thank you so much for sharing this. I'm so thankful I was a George Lynch fan and he was so far ahead of the curve on recognizing premier luthiers back in the mid 80's. So thankful to these amazingly skilled craftsmen and craftswomen. I love your products. I bought my first George Lynch Kamikaze in 2000 or 2001. I'm not done buying ESP guitars. ❤ESP

Does anybody know my ESP Eclipse model? It is black with a flat top from 2004 with a white binding around the neck not the body, two tone knobs and a toggle switch at the bottom instead of the top like usually. I think it had Saymour Duncan humbuckers installed. The stamp says ESP Standard Series but the serial suggests custom shop according to an online databank. Maybe anybody could help me out and provide me some information.

Is it still possible today to order a black Explorer MX 2 model, exactly the same as those used by James Hetfield in the early 90s?

hi james,ask my question please, Edwards produced in Japan or in China ? some news is busy talking about them making an esp factory in china for cut body and neck and finishing in japan, marked with a logo that is just a sticker,or all manufacturing production made in from esp japan ?

@@interludemusicplaylist9585 It's been known for years, they're made in China and assembled in Japan, as SS were and E-II are (sadly) If it's any comfort, they're made in a special factory owned and monitored by ESP.

Thank you for this video, I'm always curious about ESP Japan factory. During one segment, I see a worker doing setup for E-II guitar and then at 2:55, I see ESP Original guitars on a rack. I always get impression E-II and ESP original are made in different factory. After watching this, I'm not so sure anymore. I get a few question for you. 1. Is E-II completely made in the same factory (from wood cutting to fret working and installing hardware) ? 2. When doing fretwork and nut cutting, does the worker spend the same amount of time for E-II and ESP Original ?

Good questions. 1.) I am not entirely certain. However, I know a lot about guitar manufacturing and because I saw both in the factory, I would assume that they would be completed 💯 in this factory. It does make a lot of financial sense to ship guitars to a different factory for fret work and finishing since they do it all there. 2.) It would appear as if they do spend the same amount of time. I’m not 💯 certain, but these folks are highly skilled and can do high quality work in a rather quick time frame. Therefore, it would make sense to either models the same amount of care and attention.

ESP says that they made final assembly for both original (and signature, you can see this in this video) and SS (E-II) in Tokio as i know.

EII is still made at their jixi factory in China, just like the standard series, with the final assembly done in Japan.

ESP E-II models are produced at ESP’s factory in Tokyo, which allows us to offer them to you at lower prices than the hand-crafted guitars and basses from our custom shop. --This is from their site

Which factory is this in Japan? The Kiso? The Sado? The Takada? The ESP Standard Factory? The Craft House? The Technical House? Or the Nagano? My guitars serial number begins with SS, which designates it was made in the ESP Standard Factory.

Yes, they're made in the same shop. If I am correct E-II's are production models whereas the Customs are indeed Custom.

@@vinaymulukutla358 no worries my friend. I can't give you any definitive answers. I've never played an LTD. I only own a George Lynch Signature Series which inherently spoils me to the utmost quality. I will admit I was so close to buying both the Woodland Camo EC and that relic Purple Burst M-1000 but now I have to have the E-II M-II Black Natural Burst. I can tell you I absolutely love ESP products and I feel very thankful I followed George Lynch here.

They make Navigators in the Custom Shop. I can't remember if they still have multiple ones, but Set-Necks are made in the Kiso shop.

Yes they make Navigator in that factory, straight up Gibson clone more or less, as a matter a fact i think you can actually see one hanging there at 9:20

Grass Roots has always been China, never a doubt on those, there has been doubt on Edwards and they're made in China and assembled in Japan along the old ESP SS and E-II
