Love the intro Jon, for some reason parts of it reminded me of ‘Layla’. Cutting straight to the point - If you want a great looking and sounding Les Paul at about a third the price of the Gibson .. Pick this one up. I think this would easily fill that Les Paul slot in anyone’s guitar collection. Thank you Jon for introducing us to yet another great guitar.

Hi Jonathan, WOW, WOW, WOW, what a fantastic looking LP from Edwards at a ‘steal-away” price. I cannot believe the range of funky tones from the pickups. Was that the pickups, you, pedals or something else. By my ear I could hear a multitude of different guitar tones. Very well reviewed & played. ✌️🎸💜

I’m not mad about Goldtop colours but this looks much richer. Beautiful and lovely clean tones too and nice grit too. It looks like it’s a nice player too. Great value and you really played your socks off Jon. Brilliant 😃👍❤️

A friend of mine has the white LP Custom Edwards model, also with Duncans and that thing puts any ''authentic'' Les Paul Custom to shame for more than half the price. Only negative thing: you can't find Edwards models in guitar stores here in Europe, because Gibson & Fender threatened them with cease & desist order if they ever sell them in Europe or N. America, back in the 90's. You have to get them online only, from places like reverb and sadly prices have gone up lately. Edwards also makes some amazing Strat, Tele, Flying V & Explorer copies, if you're interested.

also Import fee, but is way worth! You can get a mint model, straight from japan, and still pay less than a Tribute Les Paul

@@339Jackscarify Sadly, ESP who owns Edwards, discontinued these models last year and then they launched some new Eswards LP models recently, which don´t have the Duncan pickups anymore ( they come instead with some ceramic Edwards branded humbuckers) but cost much more. I would recommend the Sire Larry Carlton L/P models instead. Much cheaper, Thomann has them in stock here in Europe and they have some cool modern specs ( like shaved neck heel, rounded frets/ fingerboards, satin finish on the neck, locking tuners) while keeping the overall aesthetic of a classic L/P.

I have used those pickups before, better than the Burst Buckers on my friend's 93 Gibson Les Paul, still the Burst Buckers were nice but not impressive to me. Seymour Duncan's always had that nice vintage vibe. At the time we were using a 15W Egnator Amp. Which was vintage also but not a lot of extra control bring only a 15w amp. But he played mostly blues, Gary Moore stuff! I love the Seymour Duncan's! 👍Nice guitar, reasonably priced!

Nice one Jonathan. Not sure about the pickups they selected for this one. Its a JB in the bridge and a '59 in the neck I think. The JB works better on strat style guitars with the longer scale as it can be a bit darkish sounding. Personally I'd go for Alnico 2 humbuckers on a LP - those are amazing and sweet sounding. One ESP guitar I find interesting is the E-KT-135S/QM - double cutaway style. If ever you can get your hands on that one would be great to hear ;)

These are Seymour Duncan’s .. they sound really good. Possibly better than the HB in terms of tone and non breakup output. Of course nothing can compare to the Japanese workmanship of the Guitar✌️❤️

je viens d en acheter une en Honey burst , elle devrait arriver d ici peu , au depart j etais parti sur une Tokai , mais trop de references et de models , parfois sans numero de serie , alors qu avec Edwards , c est clair net et precis .

@@JonIsJustTooLoud j ai recu ma belle vendredi dernier , cette guitare est absolument magnifique , elle est de 2021 et dans un etat ....neuf , la touche palissandre est d une beautée sans nom , l action est reglé au top , les frettes sont parfaite , le manche pas trop gros , une jouabililtée parfaite , superbe finition , je suis un guitariste heureux , et je ne regrettes pas de ne pas avoir repris une epiphone .

I wish you can do a side by side comparo of this vs a legit gibson custom shop, that would be awesome

How is the neck profile on this Edwards? I've got a Gibbo LP Standard from 1995 and the neck on that guitar is just perfect for me. I believe they called it 59' rounded or just plain rounded. The Japanese made Tokai Goldtops have a similar profile, or just slightly fatter still than the 50's style Gibson Standards, which I also like. Is this similar to that or more a 60's/slim taper neck? A friend of mine owns a LP Classic and I can't stand the neck on that one, way too thin

From my experience with edwards, if the guitar was built from 2015 up until now, it will have a slim neck profile, Pretty much like the thin U neck from ESP (which makes sense since Edwards belongs to ESP)! If the guitar was built prior to 2015, it will have a bigger neck, Still slimer than a 50's but a little bit bigger than a 60's though.

How's the quality control on the Edwards that you have tried? I tried an Edwards Horizon-III once and it had very sharp frets. (I don't think it's due to the wood shrinking since I live in Malaysia, which is of course a very humid place)

Great looking and sounding LP style guitar at a far more sensible price than a Gibson. The Pau Ferro fretboard at least looks far darker the most, but for me it has to be Rosewood oe Ebony. Thanks for your excellent demo Jonathan.

I just bought one of these but sadly, probably due to the yen, they are no longer putting Seymour Duncans in it and instead opt for something they call Edwards legacy pickups. It’s a wonderful guitar but the pickups are just ok and I’ll likely upgrade them. But I got it delivered from Yokohama for 1006.00 dollars and it was brand new.
