Comments on the run: Vale of the Surreal: Not much here, there aren’t really any other ways to save any more time. The goal is to finish round 3 at around 1:18-1:19 in order to be able to gear swap for Maxus the Many, as the damaging sphere that follows you by the beginning of round 2 will keep in combat and thus will prevent any attempt to gear swap. It disappears just before the boss spawns, around 1:24-1:25. The sphere also disappears for a very short amount of time by the end of round 2, which leaves a small gap for gear swapping. I did try that, but my round 3 was a lot slower without Vicious Serpent and Night Mother’s, so unfortunately that tactic will not save any time. Seht’s Balcony: Again, not much here as well. There weren’t any mistakes. Drome of Toxic Shock: I did lose a good 2-3 seconds on round 1, as the mage at the end of the round did not die from my Poison Injection. Perhaps using Silver Leash would be wiser, as he’d be pulled inside my Caltrops and would be finished off, if not already dead, by my Power Extraction. The end of round 3 was a bit meh as well. My Lamia Queen fight could also be a bit faster. After some theory talk with Kaevix, we concluded that Night Mother’s Gaze is better than Briarheart. Simply cast Ballista at the start of the fight and bar swap. Ballista and Endless Hail crits will play a huge role on whether the fight will go fast or not, and wasting 2 global cooldowns on your bow bar will result in a noticeable DPS loss. Poison Injection isn’t that strong here either. Also, the sooner you bar swap, the sooner you can apply Minor Vulnerability with Ambush, so Night Mother’s Gaze is definitely the best choice. Seht’s Flywheel: Zero mistakes here. Pretty much perfect. The only reason I ended up being 1 second slower than my best segment is because I was so fast during the entire stage, that the sphere during the start of the boss fight spawned much later than it normally would and thus could not mark it to gain a 5s Major Berserk, which would really speed up the fight. Also, a few words on my gear choices for that particular boss: I back bar Crusher for this fight, as any damaging enchant you place on your bow bar will go more or less wasted, as you will not be able to get many ticks due to low Endless Hail uptime, which is the only source that can proc your back bar enchant, apart from light attacking with your Bow. That way, I achieve a total of almost 16k penetration and can use double precise daggers and increase my critical chance by a considerable amount. Rending Slashes would also speed up the fight by a little bit, as it will outperform a single Surprise Attack and its DoT damage during execute is quite potent. Having a second dagger instead of an axe would help a lot as well. Rink of Frozen Blood: The time loss here was minor and mostly due to some bad RNG. I could have also had a faster boss fight, if I had used immovable potions during his fear phase. Could easily save about 3 seconds by doing that. Also, some might ask why I did not gear swap here. The reason for that is because, 1) Vicious Serpent is simply too strong during this fight, as the stamina return and the extra speed it provides are really invaluable, 2) Night Mother’s Gaze is also very essential. Dropping it for another set would mean that you would have to run Mark to have access to Major Fracture, and in order to run Mark means that you would have to drop Trap Beast, but running Mark would be a time loss, as you will probably need to cast twice (it will drop off during execute) and trap beast does too much damage and should not be dropped whatsoever. 3) War Machine’s Major Slayer isn’t so strong here, as you are not focusing the boss 100% after you cast Ballista and thus do not take full advantage of the increased damage. And apart from Major Slayer, Vicious Serpent has much stronger bonuses than War Machine. Spiral Shadows: Two mistakes here, that resulted in a nearly 7s time loss. The first one is at the beginning of round 4, where I pulled the Dremora mob into a rearmed trap from round 3, and so he stayed out of my AOEs. But despite that, If I hadn’t run to the Lurcher, my Power Extraction would have hit both of them and would not have lost any time. My second mistake was forgetting to debuff the boss with the grenade synergy. Normally, I use Mark on the hoarvor that spawns prior to the boss and kill it just as the boss spawns. But sometimes the hoarvor might spawn near my AOEs, which means I will have to kill in order to gear swap. When that happens, I use the synergy instead. But here I forgot to do that and lost some good time. Vault of Umbrage: Little bit of bad RNG during round 1, where the archer didn’t die in two global cooldowns, which cost me about a second. Failing to pull the second archer during the triple archer spawn on round 4, losing about two seconds, as well as not finishing off both trolls properly at the end of the same round, losing another second. As far as the Argonian Behemoth goes, I can easily say that it is by far the hardest fight in all of vMA to pull off perfectly. Ambush’s Minor Vulnerability is a big dps boost during this boss, but in order to run it you will have to drop Vigor, and dropping Vigor means you will have to rely just on leeching strikes and your 12k health pool to survive, which is EXTREMELY dangerous. All it takes is some bad RNG or failing to CC break the Behemoth’s stomp attack in time, as you cannot out-heal his bleed without Vigor. A good way to speed up this fight is by doing a double gear swap. Drop Trap Beast on the boss spawn just as round 4 ends, swap to channeled acceleration and then swap again to your boss setup, but instead of Trap have Rending Slashes slotted, which is really strong on such a bulky boss. Also, If I had a second pair of Two-Fanged Snake weapons, I’d run that instead of Spriggan’s. Igneous Cistern: Bad RNG at the end of round 1, as the pillar did not get destroyed by my Power Extraction, which did not crit. I was also unlucky during the Flame Knight, where the pillar spawned really far and cost me some time. Everything else was on point. Theater of Despair: Bad start at round 1, where I didn’t pull the archer into my Endless Hail which caused him to roll dodge, as I did not kill him in time. I could also have placed Trap Beast on the miniboss that comes from the sky prior the second spawn of round 3. My round 4 could be improved as well by pulling the summoners into my traps, as they are quite tanky and trap could help, along with some good RNG, finish them off in two global cooldowns instead of three. Finally, I run out of stamina at the end of round 5 and lost some good time as well. Thankfully, my Voriak Nuke was perfect. Just amazed really at the level of detail and analysis you go into, I'm starting to aim for 575k in vma myself atm, although I'm doing it on mag so it's easy mode in comparison to you. Definitely the most skilled player I've seen in regards to vma.

I’ve asked this same question under one of your comments on a different video...but I’m desperate. Last boss attacks me immediately and then goes into his knock back, it’s messing up my entire burn attempt. Is there anything I can do to prevent this?

From my experience, if your trap beast is activated before the boss spawns, he will not instantly attack you :)

Yeah, this was insane done :) Pleasure to watch for sure. And more respect for stamblade, couse u can see few guys doing 618k runs on magsorks, etc - its way easier in general (still big respect though, ofc). More practice is needed for This! Total vMA dedication. My main is a stamblade, and u gave me big motivation to work on my stamblade runs and simply do them at least (i usually just run 3 mag chars per week and dont bother with stamina ones, couse its pain for me compare to swift mag char runs :/ Also u deserve more viewers surely! Waiting for best run in the new patch, interesting to see how the setup will change. P.S. Guy calling u a hacker - thats nice :)

Nice! I remember you from Xbox! This is insanely good animation cancelling, do you play with a controller or did you switch over to mouse and keyboard on PC? I’m using a controller on PC at the moment but I think I should try learn with mouse and keyboard, if it makes a difference.

Thanks! We had some duels and you were on a magblade if I recall correctly :P You really should give mouse and keyboard a shot, the difference is absolutely massive. It is gonna be quite tough at first, especially if you have not played any game with a mouse before, but once you get used it you will be able to achieve some pretty disgusting animation cancelling, not to mention how much smoother is the camera movement. So yeah, definitely give it a go, what would really help you and speed up the process is an MMO mouse with buttons on the side. That way you are using your keyboard solely for movement which makes things a lot easier 😊

I noticed the skills on your bars changed between stages, how did you change them? Is there an add-on for swapping between preset skillbars/builds? I also noticed you got a briarheart setbonus activate but in ur build video you werent using briarheart. Is there an add-on for changing equip builds too?

Sorry to bother you again super. I finally figured out stuff that changed my thinking on pvp. I’ve narrowed it to Nightblade Mag/Stam, and Stam Warden? If I’m running with a stam warden already what do you suggest?

this game looks even more of a joke on pc than on console. can that add on work in PvP too so that if you enter a friendly keep your bars can change to a preset? AoE spammables should never have been buffed.

No, you cant Change Gear/skills in Combat, also you still have to Press a Button manually. You make different Setups and save them and when you Press the hotkey, the addons Swaps the Gear/Skill for you

Well, in terms of gear more or less yeah. You would have to make certain adjustments to enchantments for maximum optimization (not playing ESO currently so cannot really say what is best). In terms of strategies though definetely not. Trap beast's immobilization effect is now so short in duration that you cannot lock enemies in AOEs as efficiently. And on top of that abilities such as Endless Hail, Razor Caltrops, Poison Injection and Power Extraction have taken big damage hits. If it is just a clear you are going for, then you will be fine.
